For my money I'll take #27 from Dixie as the best, he seems to have been lost in this conversation...

 

Sorry but with #27 only having 559 yards and both Powell and England being over 1000 yards I don't think he gets to be in the conversation. Not saying at all that he's not a good HS player. Just doesn't have the production, and on a winning team at that. Powell has played on a winning team also. England has had good production on a team that is fighting to get to be .500. Cooper's back is good and quick, just to small in my book. Trying to be as objective as possible I would want the two bigger backs with the most production, Speed and strength. I've seen him on film and I'm not understating the fact that he is a good back. He is. He has had the advantage of running behind a very good line. I see only Dixie butts most of the time he has the rock, not many facemasks in his face. Be honest and watch film and see who stands out. Who jumps off the screen at you? Hope #27 has some offers soon if he doesn't already because he is a senior while the other two are Juniors they have a little more time.

This game will be determined by line play, on both sides of the ball. Whichever line plays the best wins period. The skill players will be the recipient of the big guys hard work.

you can have 2000 yards as a RB and get 0 offers. It's all about speed 40 time as a RB. The bigger you are the slower you can be.

And very, very few of the small guys play RB in college. The average college back since most teams are going to a one back set is at least 190 most a little bigger. and big doesn't mean slow. I don't think Powell or England are slow.

I think Powell had 95 yards last game and England around 140. So that would put England at 1036 and Powell at 998. Your opinion is your opinion, just cause either of us say it and write it doesn't make it makes it right. let's see who plays and get's offers at the next level. untill then we can agree to diagree. But for the conversation sake, no rusher who has been out rushed get's the rushing title. Most yards win. that's how it works. Opinions are too subjective to who's your team or who's your guy. If he's that good he would have been the workhorse not you Qb. He's successful because of the balance. The other two are keyed on and run against loaded boxes with them being spied. I don't think you guys have that issue. Again not saying he's not a good ball player. Just not in the top two IMO. He is in yours so go with that if it makes you feel better. None of these backs play anywhere but small schools. If any go to Georgetown they don't see the field until Zach Harris graduates. Not one of these guys is a Division 1 running back. And theres nothing wrong with playing for small schools.

Wow, here we go again. You should call all the D1 schools looking at Powell and England and tell them they should stop, stop calling the coaches and stop sending letters. No more trips to campuses because they aren't going to play D1. Could those schools be wrong or you? Both have the size speed and athleticism that schools are looking for or they wouldn't be interested in the slightest. I think you are way of base and are going to be so wrong about those two. Powell's game against Dixie is already included in the calculations.

 

And the boxes aren't loaded against Dixie? News to me. I have a feeling there are more people in the box against Dixie than SK since Racke has had success throwing the ball. And now we are talking about the rushing title? I didn't know we were using that as the gauge. If Zajac was handed the ball as much as Powell (132 times so far) he would have 1,051 yards. And roughly 900 yards if given the ball as much as England (prior to the CCHS game, 112 times).

 

It's possible that Zajac isn't featured as much because he also plays defense. Or because when Dixie gets up on people they let other people get opportunities to get touches.

 

As for if he's being recruited, I do not know. Haven't asked.

 

PS: All this isn't to say Luke is the best RB in NKY or to say he's better than so and so, because many variables go into ranking players and nobody here will agree on anything. This is merely to point out that your post of "just doesn't have the production" is simply asinine.
