I'm curious to see SK this year. Not sure where the shooting will come from but can't wait to see Matt Mullins play. Kid has a high motor and will outwork just about everyone he's on the floor with. That district should come down to SK/Grant. Walton still has some work to do.

 

Shooting Racke, Hawkins, Walker and Cottrell.

Shooting is definitely their big question mark. If they can find a consistent shooter they should be pretty good. The question is where the shooter comes from, either an existing varsity player that worked hare over the summer and improved or someone steps up from the JV. They have several sophomores that can shoot it very well, but will they be ready to do it at the varsity level? The injury to JC Hawkins hurts in that regard as he was one of the freshman that played JV last year and can shoot.

By seasons end Matt Mullins wil be a top 10 player. He really opened my eye in the district finals vs Grant. Old School game, a bear on the boards.

Adkins and Johnson should be a very good combo for Grant.

SK will be good down low with Mullins, Vercheak, and Frease all over 6'4.

SK opens the season with Mason County Harrison County and Male.

I've heard that Manica could be out for the year for Shelby County. Apparently he was injured playing football (ACL?) and could be out for the rest of the football and basketball season. That is a big blow for SC because I'm not sure who they have to play point guard besides him.

SK's Noah Robinson is a 4 year starter and can play all five spots he should be on the list.

I like his game. I'm not as familiar with the other guys on the 8th region list. Noah is probably in the top 20 of 8th region players. I look forward to seeing him play his last high school season.
