One team is really dominating,, the other team just gets pushed around. Have they had that many injuries or is it a deeper problem at Cooper? Did the team peak too early? Looking at the turn around at Ryle and Conner,, seems like the wheels may be loose on the Cooper bus

I don't think the wheels are falling off, fighting through injuries and I know ball handling was a bit of an issue in the exchange between qb and center. Hard to play in rain and cold, but must fight through it.

Not crazy talk,, just going by the play on the field,, over the past few weeks,, they have looked very beatable. They got lucky to get a win from Conner,,, and now getting beat by South Oldham. I was just wondering is there a bigger problem at Cooper than injuries. You cannot deny they have not looked well on the field,, that is not "crazy talk" that is just obvious.

The boys played hard and didn't give up. The key is to not give up on the players. Build confidence in the athletic players that can make plays to help the jags win. The bus is fine. I think.

What I have noticed the past few weeks are a lot of mental issues with the kids. Heck, last night from where I was sitting in the stands I hear 3 different coaches to tell the corners to stay back and stay with the receivers at the end of the half. What happens? Kid runs right by the Cooper corner for a touchdown.

I also saw coaches yelling Cover 4 to the defense, but the safeties stayed up. Left the middle of the field open and the corner let the receiver go inside and right bye and a perfectly thrown ball on the move equaled 6 for the dragons. Either way, their were a lot of mistakes and bad plays by the Jags last night. Not their night and SO was on.

Sounds like I'm glad I wasn't in the film session. I'm sure Borchers exploded in Sat's film session. He takes so much pride in his defense that I wouldn't want to be any of those players this week.

 

I wasn't at this game, but was at the Conner game and noticed the DB's especially the CB's staring into the backfield and letting the WR's run right past them as they were too busy staring down the QB. It cost them a couple int's also as they were turned facing the QB as the ball was thrown right at them and because they stood their flat footed and couldn't even backpedal they allowed the ball to go right over their outstretched hands. If they would simply stay with their reciever half the receptions could have been defended.

 

Its something they need to learn. The entire defense is made up of first time starters this year except for a couple on the line, so a lot of learning has to be made.

They didnt do films saturday. They are doing them tuesday. Fortunately for the players. I watched the game online. Again cooper had to start a backup corner on that side of the field as their usually starting corner was still out. No excuse, he has been there for now his third full game, but still it didnt help. Its a game cooper should have and could have won.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure Cooper doesn't run any Cover 4. Just an observation, but if you know what you are looking at when you watch them, I don't think I have ever seen them run Cover 4.

It's basically their prevent defense. They've played it for awhile when they play their prevent. So if a coach is yelling cover 4 then I can agree that it is probably a cover 4.

That doesn't surprise me at all, as I said they were doing a lot of that last week and it was a shame because they had good coverage most of the time and then they would stop because they were looking in the backfield.

I agree,, I have never seen them run a cover 4,, they will shade to the multiple receiver side but I have never seen them in a true cover 4. However if they started a new DB,, there could have been a miscommunication that lead to a coverage breakdown,, either way,, I hope they get back on the winning track next week. I would love to see them make another run in the playoffs
