October 10, 201411 yr Head towards Dixie High School. Across the street in the International Village is a pizza place Garzelli's that has a nice little bar with a decent selection of brew. While it's always crowded Flip Daddy's in Union by Kroger has a really nice burger and a big selection of beer. Garzelli's is really good, I eat lunch there fairly often. Salvadore's in Elsmere is moving down the street on Dixie Highway. Not a bad spot, either.

October 11, 201411 yr Author Seems like we have a lot of options. Went to Turfway bar and grill last night. Food was good and it wasn't crowded. However it is smoking which normally doesnt bother me. But it was overwhelming. Had to change clothes as soon as we got home. They need to work on a ventilation system. Probably checking out Shakeys next.

I couldn't remember if turf way allowed smoking or not. The few times I've been there for lunch it hasn't been too bad but allowing smoking is pretty much a deal breaker for me with the exception of Stringtown (who at least has a separate non-smoking room).
October 11, 201411 yr If you go to Stringtown and don't get breakfast, I recommend the turkey Reuben. It is not on the menu but they have it is a special frequently, and you can always order it. Very good…

The few times I've been there for lunch it hasn't been too bad but allowing smoking is pretty much a deal breaker for me with the exception of Stringtown (who at least has a separate non-smoking room). Stringtown is pretty close. Is it more of a sitdown restaurant than a pub?
