I'm titling this game "The Flagship Game". Trinity failed to take the title back this year, and Male and Bowling Green seem to be the only teams up to the task.

With McCallie TN beating Baylor (another powerhouse private out of Chatanooga), I really think the Purples are #1 in State (again) this year. I am predicting Male not be 6 a champs this year anyway.

Highlands? Do they deserve to be considered in this discussion?

The 8A Florida team coming from Miami is NOT a bottom feeder, I can promise you that. I hope all the H haters show up and the Birds get a bunch of fans yelling until they lose their voice. I'm a little worried about this one. Go Birds!

This is BG's "Down Year". We lost 8 seniors off the offensive team and 8 starters off the defensive side of the ball.

Is BG better than Male, hard to say as I haven't seen Male play yet. Maybe I'll go on Friday - will be a good one!

To even be in this conversation, I am really proud of the Purples. MOST of the guys playing and getting it done this year, NEVER played any role in the past 3 championships. And they have really played with alot of heart and never quit. That's really the only thing I ever ask of them, is to not quit during a game.

BG has played a better schedule than Male to this point, but that will quickly equalize in the Super District. Right now BG!

Bowling Green's coaching staff is doing an excellent job of proving that they can win with or without superior talent. To lose what they lost from last season to this season and to still be mentioned as one of the best teams in the state is sign that the coaching staff at BG is also one of the best in the state if not the best. Is Kevin Wallace the best coach in the state?

 

 

I think this year is saying that he is.

Male. Too big, too many weapons on offense. Would be a great game though and are probably the two best teams in the State (though St. Xavier might have something to say about that).

Just a side note. Bowling Green's only loss was a one point thriller to McCallie Tn. Maxpreps has them ranked #18 in the nation. Just saying.
