Quite possibly the dumbest reply ever, every winning team loses. Find me a great H.S. soccer team that was undefeated in the last 10 years.

 

Maybe so... just hard for me to see how you can say that winning was on display last night when they came up short, on a few different fronts.

 

In all honesty... I should have gone with my first thought... it would have actually been centered around the way they have been winning the past two seasons.

 

I am just not a fan of how this program is being run, not to say that I am not a big fan of some of the boys there, this I am.

YC is a Cooper parent/fan so don't go muddying the waters on public versus private school views.

Man, I come back from lunch, only to find out that I am now a Cov Cath parent... I hope they have some sort of "welcome aboard" party for us newbies. I guess things could be a lot worse... and I have been called much worse. Hopefully, my son made it to CCH and is doing well there on his first day, I assume they will accept him... yeah, I think he will be just fine.... he knows several boys there already, they seem like really good kids.

 

I guess this is the nicest way to tell you that you are not a very good judge of people, you see, my kids also attend a public school, and so did I... but you are right, we do view things quite differently. As for your comment about me not wanting to see other kids succeed, it does not even merit a response.

 

The good news in all of this... Karma is alive and well... you might have just topped what you perceived to be "Quite possibly the dumbest reply ever".

Jealousy??! That's funny!

The responses to any Scott thread really make it difficult to sympathize with them. They do make it easy to understand what is going on out there and why there are never any consequences. I don't understand how you can look at what has happened the last couple of years and not see that there is a problem. At some point you have to be embarrassed and want to have your school and team represented in a better light don't you?

 

Those that want to accept this as long as you are winning, I would like to ask this question.

 

Why not strive to win and conduct yourself in a way that you/your parents/school will be proud?

 

I was also a public school student...how about not casting us in such a bad light?

If your son is anything like you he won't be getting accepted to CCH anytime soon.

Back to some pure soccer analysis from what I can tell, as I wasn't in attendance, it sounds from this thread and previous ones I've read on both teams the game in terms of tactics were polarized and seems to have neutralized each other based on style and how it was executed and officiated.

 

What I mean is that it sounds (in general) as though the CCH game plan is usually to possess the ball and take what the defense gives them in terms of offensive opportunity. The Scott strategy is play vertical and use the power and speed of their 2 forwards.

 

Sounds as though CCH's strategy was affected by Scott's style, officiating and lingering player medical issues.

Scott's strategy was affected less affected by CCH's defensive play and the disruption of player personnel due to YCs.

 

Assuming I'm close, how did the their tactics play out in the game? What worked and didn't work for each team's strategy that they may have problems with in tournament play? What worked for each?

I couldn't agree more. It's sad that a truly talented and tough-to-beat program acts the way they do. It's not just this team. It was last year's team, the 2012 team, the 2011 team... It carries over into the stands also. Carry yourselves with class and the respect will truly come. Again, this problem completely starts and ends with the coach. Most players have reputations across Northern Kentucky. It's sad to see great and talented players act in the manner they do. Scott needs to show some class for once.
