Does the police officer have a player on Scott's team? Is there a kenton county rule about a police presence. There were 2 officers there like security during a bengals or reds game.

is that required by the school? Just asking, truly do not know and haven't seen it at any other games.

Been up traveling since 3:45 so please forgive all typos...grammatical errors, etc....

Here is what I took away from the game.....

Scott is a very talented/dangerous team. Treadway/Schneider up top are hard to handle. Treadway gets quality shots off quicker than any player I've seen. Rome's made some outstanding saves to keep him off the score board. I think Morgan could put the ball into a bucket from 40 yards out if he tried. Dangerous restarts and is smart with the ball. Seay may be the best keep in nky. Made a save to keep it 1-0 that I'm not sure any other keeper makes. Defense last night was to move 5 back at all times and as soon as the ball was own, turn and play it long to Treadway and Schneider . You can see why they have had success.

With that said....have to agree with some of the statements already said. They have some players......5 or 6 and not everyone that I mentioned above fall into that, that just seem to scream and complain to the ref after every play. With last nights center ref, it worked most of the time. There were a couple of plays that just kind of scratching your head.

The throw in after injury is one....but the other, that kind of sums up how the ref was to me.....was........nice cross into cchs box by Scott player. Schneider goes full out but just runs out of room, but still gets as nice header on the ball, but it hits side netting, out of bounds. As the CCH player was calling for the ball from the ball boy ( who seemed to work very hard) the center ref sees it on the sideline and calls a throw in for CCH. Instead of the goal kick. That one was puzzling......not sure why the ir wouldn't step in either......

Too long already, so will hold comment on the other plays........

I was very shocked the game I saw last week so see how they played. I expected more ball movement/possession. All over the top and when Schneider/Treadway didn't have the ball played into their area they didn't work.

As far as the comments around complaining at the ref... one player in particular seems to always have a bad allergy. EVERY call ended with a sneeze or at least it appear like that with the constant hands over the mouth and nose.

Wrong player referenced

You really gotta get your popcorn and a beverage when there's a new Scott soccer thread.

Response to groin pull, I do not believe Schneider cried nor whined, he did as many CCH players did last night, complain about a particular call. To say that the three pillars of Scott Soccer are hacking, flopping, and whining is very wayward, sorry to say, there was no flopping in the game from either team, lots of complaining but very minimal hacking, just hard play, not completely sure what game you were watching last night.

What Romes is the goalie? Grant?

I heard CCH played 11 behind the ball and just looked to counter...

Cousin Sam........but we did have Grant and Bob make an appearance at the game......

Up 1-0 with 5 left, we were wishing they would start doing that.

Go big or go home

I am sure that all of the dust from the road construction on Old Taylor Mill Rd has a lot to do with the flare ups being so frequent.

Funny but no, they pretty much played straight up. The back four and Romes really played well but they knew to expect the long ball game all night and dealt with it well for the most part. Scott played a modified pack it in with most players back but 2-3 forward at all times waiting to take off.

It was suppose to be. Little banter back and forth with OTB. Sounds like they played how I saw. Leave their middle really exposed and any good team can take advantage of it.

How many yellow cards were issued to CCH for arguing with the ref? How many were issued to Scott for arguing with the ref? Case closed.

Are we related? He really stood out last night. Seems like he would rather foul and argue than show his skills....which I have seen.

Again.....see my comments about this being a talented Scott team......if the coach would take control and change it, get the players playing soccer together....man they would be really tough to handle....

OTB, I already think they are really tough to handle.

Oh, my bad, I just realized that you were using handle in a totally different context.

How many yellow cards were issued to CCH for arguing with the ref? How many were issued to Scott for arguing with the ref? Case closed.

I think that we all know both teams can whine the same amount and the cards will be different. It is how you whine that often causes problems.

Not saying that was what happened here but that statement doesn't really hold water.
