Riddle me this Batman....Why have fuel prices gone down?

Featured Replies

Shouldn't they go up since supply is being threatened by our battles with ISIS? Doesn't volatility send prices sky rocketing??? That could potentially affect supply, right? That's the excuse for pumping prices every week leading up to a holiday.

They certainly aren't going down in my neck of the woods.

President needs his peeps to win the election, so they will be down till Nov.

I will go out on a limb and predict that gas prices will be approaching $4 or higher by the end of January if not sooner, but as stated above they won't start trending up until after the elections.

The DOE National Average for Diesel is down over $.15/gallon over the past 2 months.

Gas Prices in Kentucky Range from $2.89-99 in Owensboro to $3.69-89 in Louisville/Jeffersontown Area

Corbin prices have dropped to the $3.07 range today

Presidents must have a lot more power than I thought.:lol2:

Henderson was $3.08 this morning.

Henderson/Owensboro continually have the cheapest gasoline in Kentucky.

No, but political parties do. Lobbyists do. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I believe that oil companies may halt price hikes in favor of keeping people in office. It is counter intuitive to me, as I always equate Republicans w/ big business (espcially oil companies), but it is possible.

According to the Lefties when President Bush was in power: YES.

Henderson can be the same up to .10 higher than Owensboro depending on when you look. Also if I recall correctly the last time I was in Bowling Green gas was considerably lower then Henderson as well.

Funny thing about Louisville, I've seen gas there cheaper than Henderson before but also way higher. Especially JTown.

Cincinnati gas has been about 30-40 cents cheaper than NKY for all of September.

Right now BP Madison and Edwards Cincinnati 3.19..........BP Dixie Highway NKY 3.59
