What in the world has happened to South Oldham?

This year as a whole, 5A's schedule of games has been pretty ho-hum to be nice!

 

Not this week - great games:

Pulaski v N Laurel - Maybe Pulaski gets a game for a change. District game and may be North Laurel's Super Bowl.

 

Madison South v Southwestern - Have heard a lot about the future Kentucky Wildcat RB (Yes, I'm foreshadowing here!) and also about SW. District game and alot on the line for both team. Is the loser of this game done for the playoffs? Certainly in the back seat looking forward?

 

Warren Central v Owensboro - like PPride said this is a must game for the Dragons to push their mental fortitude in preparation for the Purples. For Owensboro - this game sets the tone looking ahead and ROLLING into the playoffs. Close game on paper!

 

Cooper v Conner - always a good district matchup. Cooper has earned their new ranking fighting and clawing every inch to get it. Conner won last week too! Winner gets an edge up in the district!

 

Iroquois v Grayson County - Cinderella comes to the Ball! It's great to get teams on a roll that haven't rolled in a while! On the road against a pretty good team after a huge victory for the program (likely the biggest in many many years!), will tell me alot about the coaching staff Iroquois has.

East has appeared in two finals. I can say we are not looking for moral victories. We are hungry for wins. Rankings mean nothing, district play is just around the corner. Good luck to all.

Injury bug affecting the starting backfield. Best DL out for season. Also, maybe a little inflated egos with the 3-0 start...
