Fans on this board?? I know there are quite a few Mason Co. fans but it looks to me like the Wildcats are taking over the 10th region talk...

History shows that schools who are winning typically are more loud and proud during times of success. Nothing wrong with that.

 

PC will probably never have success like they have seen over the last three year ever again. It is understandable that they have a ton of fans on here now.

 

But I think you will see that when things turn back to normal for Pendleton Co. that there are way more Mason County fans on this board. Mason Co. has a tradition surpassed by few in this state, and their success brings a much larger, loyal fan base. As a result, Mason Co. posters will always be on this board, and when they are successful their numbers will only increase.

Plenty of P-E-N-D-L-E-T-O-N fans on here.

Maybe Pendleton this year because Mason has had a bad year by their standards. Not close in a typical year however, Mason has one of the best followings in the state.

That's quite a strong statement. I'll give you the fact that Pendleton County has enjoyed three consecutive seasons that were out of the ordinary for the program, but to say that we will never ever have success like that again is, for lack of a better word, ignorant. And while the fan base here on BGP may slack off after this year, Pendleton Co. always has had and always will have a very loyal fan base.

If Pendleton Co. is ranked in the top 5 in the state in the next twenty years send me a PM and I will buy you a steak dinner and a cold drink at your favorite establishment.

 

Pendleton Co. has, or had, a special group of local kids to go along with a transplanted all-stater.

 

Odds are they will never see the type of success on the state level again. The talent is just not there. No offense.

In the long run I say MC, they were very loud and proud back in the Lofton years. I put my steak dinner on the Royals.

Lord, you couldn't open a post back in the day without running into a Mason County fan. I gotta give them the edge. Stop by the College Sports forum to see the Lofton talk sometime and you'll see they're still here.

During the Mason run, it seemed like half the posters on here were from Mason Co. And you never heard anything from Pendleton Co. folks until last year.

Mason Hoops and Belfry football fans have spent the most time "owning" their respective forums. My guess is PC has a long way to go to catch up in BGP membership numbers...
