They have not been impressive except against UT-Martin and I watched EKU pants the Skyhawks at Martin last week. They have not been impressive in the second half of most games, but they have been in the first half. They have given up three points the entire season in the first half. To me that's pretty impressive for a team that had won 4 games the prior two years. They have three wins this season, and their first SEC win in two prior seasons. They also took Florida to the wire, at the swamp. I'm not saying they are world beaters, but if you can't see that they have improved quicker than expected and are capable of surprising some teams, you should probably quit watching football or at the very least quit critisizing Kentucky.

I think that everyone that watches any kind of college football expected then to be 3-1 at this point. Sure, they're improved. But they've beaten a 1-3 FCS team, a 2-2 MAC team that lost by 30 to Marshall and a Vandy team that lost its coach and lost to TEMPLE by a bunch. They have beaten no one of any consequence do far. Last time I checked you play 2 halves in football --although I'm not sure since according to you I should quit watching. If they play one half next week they'll lose by 40.

I'm willing to bet that I know more about college football than you think... Sure UK is better than the last 2 seasons. They would be getting beat by d-2 teams if they weren't. This is still a 4-8 team.

They would be getting beat by d-2 teams if they weren't. This is still a 4-8 team. CThey sure did, but they also gave up two touchdowns to them, Kentucky gave up zero. It doesn't seem to cross peoples mind much that when your are impleminting a new system you try different things when you have a decent lead in the second half.. Could that be why Kentucky hasn't slaughtered some teams they have played.
September 28, 201411 yr Our defense will keep us in a lot of games. Offense is based on timing. Lots of young guys on O. They should get better and so should the timing as the season progresses

September 28, 201411 yr Once UK had it won, they decided to not show their hand for SC next week. I expect a better offensive effort next week to go with the defense and I think UK wins next week.
September 28, 201411 yr Towles looked great in the first quarter, but it looked like he got much more tentative after the pick six. The play calling was also very conservative in the second half. I don't remember any throws downfield more than about 10-15 yards. That is about as good a defensive game as I can remember from UK. It helps that Vandy just isn't very good, but the d-line was absolutely dominant.
