I think you are right. They won't schedule for any number of reasons, known only to them. I do believe that X has a better relationship with JCPS schools. I just don't see X ever going to a regional schedule. Simply not their style or philosophy. I heard Wolford speak and answer that question that we are a high school, and do not need to travel. Frankly I agree and am content with one or two out of state games and maybe a state game.

 

I like the way St. X schedules, with the exception of Fairdale. I like the 2-3 out of state teams they play, and hope that X continues to play/schedule BG and Highlands of the state.

To be fair, you were probably also looking at him more favorably because Nagle didn't settle in until late in the season.

Yes that was probably the case. Nagle started to play very well late into the season.

Sample size was too small. It is tough to be a first year senior starting quarterback, but with over a half of the regular season played I would predict improvement as we progress through October.

Why won't St. X play a national schedule?

 

St X doesn't need to. The local teams see St X as kinder and gentler. Same with BG and that was a great windfall for the Purples...... a four game sweep. Now, PRP and Male have agreed to home and home for 2015-16. Male's two wins over the Rocks have given them new hope. Trinity has openings for only three OOS games with the new district. BTW, the Rocks are 112-9 versus next year's district opponents.

If it rains -- and with the UofL game at Syracuse on TV as an option at home -- the crowd will be VERY light on Friday.

BG would have split the last 4 against the Rocks with a blowout by T in 2011 and a blowout by BG in 2013. McCallie this year and Blackman last year are decidedly better than Trinity is/was. The only thing BG gained from not playing T during the last four years was a meaningless 2nd place winning streak.
