Could be. Defense is allowing 27 points per game, which is a disaster. If you look at the KHSAA 3A rundown on the scoreboard page, of the top 17 teams on the list (sorted by wins), Lawrence has allowed 64 more points than the next "worst" defense, which is Lewis County. That doesn't bode well.

The Rams Defense was great tonight, took/ forced 7 turnovers from a good LC team.

 

With as good as Raceland is and even Lawrence, I thought there had to be something more to the story with that kind of margin.

What really surprised me more watching the game was Lawrence's inability to move the ball on offense. Yes, it's hard to win with 7 turnovers, but to be honest, after their first score Lawrence County never really moved the ball in their ground and pound attack and Raceland was in a four man front and not really stacking the box like you would expect.

Great coaching and great player execution. Coaches told them to not to get down, that it may take a drive or two to acclimate to their offense but to stick to the assignments and we would be fine.

By KHSAA rule, 2nd ejection in a season is suspension for the rest of the year. This will definitely impact Lawrence County the rest of the year.

Tonight was definitely the Rams most complete game. Looking good headed into District play.

I hate to see that for the Bulldogs, great tradition and fans in and around Louisa, always have been. LC Fans are a lot like our "RAM Nation" , they love their football and their kids.

It seems LC is way overrated every year? They did the same thing coming out 7-0 last season only to finish 3-4. Losing Dalton for the year will either unite them or cause dissention depending on how its handled? There doesn't seem to be any consistency with how things are being ran. I don't know if its the 20+ coaches telling players different things, or if its just a matter of accountability? Regardless, after seeing the Breathitt game and now this, I don't think they are mentally tough enough to finish on a high note. Their defense is giving up on average 27 points/game, and that is even the teams they've blown out. So knowing a team is going to put those type numbers up on them each game, it doesn't look good. I look for them to most likely go .500 or less the rest of the way and a first round exit in the playoffs. Unless of course they get magoffin again in the playoffs?
