swamprat Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 South Florida @ Wisconsin, Saturday Noon ET, ESPNU The truck's loaded and we're pulling out here in a few minutes. We should be in Madison around 4 pm CT, tomorrow. This isn't the USF that beat Auburn, Florida State, Miami, and Notre Dame in their houses. Wisconsin could break the B1G record they set last week. It'll be the only time this year, I root against the Badgers. Should be fun at Camp Randall Saturday in either case.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 ...... Drive safely, enjoy the ride, soak in America....and enjoy Camp Randall. Oh, and have a brat or 5 while you're there.
dolamite Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Drive safe and have fun!!!! Hope you have a good trip sounds like an awesome time! That's definitely what you call a football roadtrip.
Getslow Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 At least there will be plenty of beer, cheese, and cased meats from which draw succor following the loss.
NKY Bandit Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 On the positive side, atleast you're not going up there in mid November. You may not even be able to see your breath Saturday.
coldweatherfan Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Have fun, Camp Randall is a great venue.
coldweatherfan Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Too early for the beautiful leaves. They're a few week ahead of us. I'd say it's about time there.
swamprat Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 The leaves are starting to change, but there is still a lot of green. I'll take a pic and post it when I can.
swamprat Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 That fire in Chicago messed everything up here. I know the team could not fly directly into Madison, for some reason. They were bussed in from some point 2 hours from here, I suspect Milwaukee. The cheerleaders didn't get out of Tampa. A lot of fans and player's families did not make it. I know a group of 5 here that have no tickets to the game, because the person with the tickets got stranded in Baltimore.
swamprat Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 I thought the stretch of highway from the Florida border to Atlanta was boring. That was until I drove through the center of Illinois to get to Madison, yesterday.
