Ok just finished talking to Tedfromvillahills and we agree that this game means way too much to leave a play in your back pocket. We both agreed both teams use it to try and win the game. TFVH said he didn't want to travel to Johnsonville but I, tdyballgame don't mind the drive. Especially when we stop in Stanton and say "hey" to our kinfolk. Didn't you guys stay in one our Motels last year on your way to Johnsonville?

...presale tickets are for sale at Cov Cath's office from 8am to 3pm through Friday. I'm, assuming it's the same situation at Highlands. I'm betting this one's a sell-out before the end of the day on Friday. I had someone pick up my ticket this afternoon.

This game, most likely, determines home field for the regional final--gotta roll the dice now and work on a new play afterwards.

Don't have a clue this year, could be decided by a bad break or could be a blow out either way. All I know is that since 1987, spread over 3A, 5A and 4A, the road to the title tuns through these two schools. In the last 27 years the two programs have combined for 19 titles, 3 runnerups and 3 losses in the semis. Also, over the years they've played 16 times in the playoffs and the regular season winner won 13 of the playoff tilts so I belirve both coaches treat this game like a state championship game.

Some, doesn't mean "most" ; and it certainly doesn't = "all".......I believe most would still consider this a great rivalry and feel this year the teams are pretty equal. Friday will tell; I look for a close one and maybe one of those instant classic finishes.......

The "we got screwed by the officials" defense always reminds me of the scene in Shawshank Redemption when Red explains to Andy that everyone in Shawshank is innocent.
