High school & college football...........Trust me, she does!!!

Who cares? Does this give her the right to call out HS kids? Id be embarrassed If my mom was on here bashing my teammates. Just sayin

I learned my lesson a Long time ago on here. Its Easy to be critical of others until your own child takes the field or court and is subject to the same criticism. Atleast it was for me. When my son played I made sure I chose the right words and Tried to stay as positive and encouraging as i could. It was tough, trust me. I just think Its a Poor reflection and especially If people know your handle. Im done.

Great quote, but the context is different. This has to do with coaches and the way they enforce discipline on their teams, not adults hiding behind screen names insulting high school kids. There are two ways to deliver a message, you can have a strong point and opinion without directly insulting kids.

Good Luck Breds

The only kids I've called out was Henschen, Hoover & Lawrence, which I said were doing a good job. The only reason Lawnboy posted that was to clarify something that another poster said.

I realize that Dixie`s left side was big, but it's been every game that the right side has had trouble. I agreed with another poster earlier, ya I could have used a different word than horrible. But the fact remains that the line needs work. Whether my son or anyone else's son is or isn't getting the playtime that they deserve isn't the point. I know that's up to the coaches, I realize they are with these kids day in and day out. But imo There are a few kids on the sideline that would be of help to the line. Kids like Hightchew, Pittman, Brooks, Osburg And Konner Carmack.

In years passed at halftime there have been changes made but I've yet to see any changes made at halftime this season. Again I realize they have been playing bigger teams, but you can't tell me that they won't be facing big kids in 2A games. Lloyd has a freshmen nose guard that is 6"3`, 300 pounds. I hope the line can hold him, I hate to see Henschen get sacked by him.

Some commenting on here have only seen one or 2 games, I've watched them all. I didn't mean to"call out," the right side, my intention wasn't to hurt anyone's feelings or disrespect anyone. I was just stating my opinion, which is what this site is for, or at least that's what it should be for.

Btw, I have heard many players use the word horrible when talking about the line, so my opinion apparently isn't the only one. The team as a whole will be fine I'm, sure, but work is still needed, IMO.

I appreciate what these kids do, and go through on the field, no one can say that I don't. I have defended this team for years when others have had negative comments. My comment was made out of frustration for the boys who bust their butts day in and day out.

I didn't expect them to beat Dixie, Campbell County or Simon Kenton, I was hopeful, but realistic. But IMO changes need to be made. Newcath hasn't lost a district game against any 2A team since they went to 2A in 2007 (I believe that is the year), and I'd hate for this to be the year that happens.

For those players on the team that are reading this, I apologize if what I wrote offended you, that was not my intention. I stand behind you and this team 110%.

Good luck BREDS.

That being said, I sure hope that they make the adjustments. Under Schneider, traditionally, games 5-6 are when he implements his changes on offense and the team starts to take off. Is Wagner still calling the D? I can't help but think that guys with 9 state championship game appearances in the last 14 years won't make the proper adjustments to get the most out of this team.

Not sure about Wagner calling the defense. I know they have Patrick Kallendorf helping with the defense, not sure if he's calling it it if Wagner is calling it.

It's obvious on here how much the parents care about this team it really is and I'm sure that everyone is frustrated, but what I say is this if you all are this frustrated imagine how the kids are feeling right now. Show them that you guys stand behind them and are proud of them because from the games I've seen the kids have never given up not 1 game no matter the score. So don't give up on them. I know no parent on here is intentionally trying to hurt a kids feelings or belittle them

It to. Good luck to the Breds the rest of the season.

I've seen a few Ncc games. I wouldn't call the line horrible. What I see is inexperience. I also see a team that is overall slow. The speed of the game is slow and doesn't look good. Go watch a Highlands or Covcath game then watch a Newcath game. It's night and day. You can throw quick passes and run the ball and the hole stays open awhile. Good teams play fast. This team isn't fast and neither was Dixie. The guys gave effort and are doing the best they can. Ncc is young and lost a lot from last year. Be patient with this group. They'll be much better next year. I also think the coaches did a good job keeping the games I saw from being much worse. The same coach took Ncc to the finals last year. He didn't forget how to coach.

Your handle honors itself circa the dukes of hazard....been sampling that moonshine again! Get over the loss and realize the breds will be fine. The most judgemental and critical thread I ever witnessed on bgr! Be sure the door swings both ways folks when your breds are making great strides and a deep playoff run if not a state championship!

He's a Birds fan.

By the way, didnt Breds fans kind of figure they would struggle in the first 4 games?

Losing by 21 pts to a 6A school that is much bigger and more experienced is not bad IMO.

I think the in-fighting amongst what sounds like the players and the criticism on here by parents/fans is what can make the season worse.

The key is overcoming adversity....truest test of character.

If I am Coach Wagner I play this for the team 15 times this week.

GRYCHE11 could not say it any better, this is why I have been away for so long. To much negativity on here for the young men who go out each

Friday and Saturday then read such crap about how they played. NCC has had a rugged schedule and now starts District 2A play this week. I wish them luck and please if you want to be negative go somewhere else or be positive to get these young men back on the right track. JD

JD, I don't post near as often as I used to to and one of the reasons why is the same as your's. I get so tired of the "I'm entitled to have an opinion" and "this place is for expressing opinions". Sorry to those that feel that way but the right to express an opinion comes with responsibility.

We are talking high school kids playing a sport, hopefully, because they love the sport. As long as they are working hard and learning life lessons of dedication, commitment and teamwork, we as adults should be happy with their efforts.

As always JD, great post and I couldn't agree more with you.
