From the little I have heard is they again are good against the bad teams and a little below average against teams with winning records.

 

Hear the corners play soft.

I would expect a close game like last year. Coal Grove has a good running game that can run the time off the clock.

Coal Groves #70 Pleasants 6'5 270 has committed to play at Ohio University, when Ironton scrimmaged them He lined up in the backfield as a lead blocker a few times. He has the speed to go along with his size to do so.

 

Looks like their Pass Defense will get exposed by Raceland though.

Colegrove did that some last year as well. They would put him behind the guard or in A gap and have two backs behind him, usually near the goal line. Honestly, last year he was quite lazy against the Rams, especially on the defensive side.

Coal Grove will be big and slow. If we play fast, we should be ok. If we play lethargic, Coal Grove has a chance.

The game was not actually close. We were up by 3 scores late in the game and we went into a prevent style defense and Coal Grove scored a few points. Also, we were milking the clock and we called a pass play (I still don't know why......) and I believe it was a pick 6. Anyway, the score was closer than the actual game.

Too close to call. I look for a close one but should Raceland come out offensively as lethargic as at GC last Friday then Coal Grove will win and win big. Raceland Has to come Ready to Play Ram Football this week.
