Is there a difference in the 15th and 16th regions as far as talent goes??

Take a look at the massey ratings fellas and you'll see what I mean. Your top teams wouldn't make top 5 in the 11th, 7th, and 6th regions. In some aspects you all are lucky you have such an easy road to Rupp Arena. But that's the state tournament set-up.

Massey ratings are just that. First of all 15th and 16th region teams are not made up of all 4A schools and due to transportation issues recruiting just doesnt happen. The regions you are talking about have mostly kids who play one sport because of school size. In the mountains kids often play 2 or 3 sports and are not nearly as specialized as a kid who plays one sport. Also we dont have a lot of 6'6" players as they do in those regions. Dont forget Paintsville won it all one year and occasionally the mountain schools can compete. Paintsville that year had the size to play with the other schools.

Just stay down state and live in your world. Noone up here really cares.:walk:

PRP has a little better base to draw from.

Sorry Buckman I didnt see your posts before I posted above. My bad.

Those who are saying that "Paintsville is still young" need to read Legaer's post closely. Excellent point!

How long do you continue to make excuses for the Tigers? The most overrated team in the region. Without Slone last night, they wouldn't have had a prayer. Why didn't Slone get a good look down the stretch? Amazing! He was the only player that did anything for Paintsville last night.

My final question is: How long will it take before we see a "Paintsville will win the 15th Region" thread again? I'm guessing mid April. Any takers?

Paintsville should be the favorite next season but I have two other sports to worry about before basketball starts again. I think that Coach Runyon needs to do his best coaching of his long and very successful career next season and develop a post player that can control the boards for him and stop other teams post play. How can a team that doesn't start a single senior be considered overrated? For about 95% of the schools that start such young players it would be considered a rebuilding year. They showed what they could do in the Hoops Classic and just couldn't level stay at that level, but this is a learning experience and Coach Runyon is going to have another great run before his days on the sideline are over.

Thanks Buck Master we just try to keep the game posts on topic. Now if i could get the cooperation of everyone else that would be great because we dont like closing threads.:thumb:

Is this the same Paintsville team that some thought deserved to be ranked after winning their own Christmas tournament?

What the heck happened?
