As of now, I don't think so. It will be interesting to see how much Boyle improves at the season goes along and the new system gets further implemented.

I think Boyle is a defacto #3...but truth be told I am not sure they are a really good team right now.

 

I may catch grief for this but I will say it anyway

This is the weakest 4A class I can ever remember...both in the 4 Class and 6 Class System.

 

Think these are very ho-hum Boyle and LexCath teams even by their standards, Johnson Central has taken a small step back due to graduation, Ashland is a mediocre team with two great players, and there are about 7-8 teams who normally wouldn't sniff the Top 10 with the team they have.

 

Highlands is clearly not the unstoppable force we have came to know and CovCath, to me, epitomizes the saying "In the land of the blind the one eyed man is King".

I really think people have cooled off a lot on Catholic after the loss at Lafayette but really shouldn't have because the Generals are for real. I think the Knights can be just as good as last years team by the end of the season, all their skill positions are in their first year as starters besides Reese, I do think this team will be a little below the 11' and 12' teams though so I guess they might be a little behind Catholic standards.

Owensboro is very athletic and deep this year. I like there OL, RBs and WRs and there QB is a good athlete and smart player, as well. There D is the biggest question mark, but, I think we'll get a good read on them this week vs BGreen.. I think they'll play within a couple of scores of the Purples, which is alot better than Lex Cath did.. FSimpson is a solid team, as well. Alot of experience on that team with a few really nice skilled players and linemen. They beat a really good Graves team a couple of weeks ago, so, they've got some potential, for sure..

Boyle County is currently doing a damn good 2001 Baltimore Ravens imitation and we all know defense wins championships. Boyle might not be defeating people 56-7 but they are still controlling every game they have played so far.

If Boyle County defeats Anderson County this week that will make two top 10 5A schools they have defeated. That should count for something.

I still don't think Mercer County is a top 10 team. They beat West Jessamine.
