Cooper 31 Boone County 6

I didn't see a final thread yet so here it is.

For the 3rd straight week I've heard how the losing team was just bad.

I wonder when Coopers defense will get any credit?

Only 9 pts given up after 3 ges has to mean something.

Boone scored 40+ pts last week right?

Sorry folks but after 3 weeks maybe Cooper is t as bad as some like to claim they are.

I don't care how bad a team some think they are but even bad teams can't go 3 games only giving up 9 points...just sayin.

Cooper is an intriguing team. They're still in the TBD stage for me.

Cooper usually doesn't look like a fast team against the opponent, but tonight they did. Running back for Jags was really running well. It looked like Cooper's receivers were playing without defenders at time. Cooper won the battle of trenches on both side of the ball.

I was once again on the sidelines for this game. I'm not gonna downplay Boone's game. Instead I'm going to praise Cooper. From the opening drive the Jags dominated this game. They owned the line of scrimmage both offensively and defensively. Pritchard spread his passes around to all sides of the field and to just about all of his receivers. Cooper's defensive ends did an awesome job of cutting off any chance of Boone from getting outside and the Jags db's were all over Boone's receivers. I may be wrong but I don't think Boone completed a pass for more than fifteen yards and they had maybe one or two of those. While Cooper's receivers ran wide open through Boone's defense. The one score that Boone managed was against a heavily substituted defense. Props to both Cooper's offense and defense on another well coached and well played game. 74-9 in their first three games ain't too shabby for an offense that some have claimed to be average at best.

I said "TBD" because Cooper struggled offensively against Ryle, smoked a bad NCC D, and smoked a really bad Boone D.

That's my question. Still TBD.

Congrats to the Jags! Put them in the top 10 poll now?

They weren't already?

Correct..........Boone might be bad, but Conner must be downright awful then.

This Cooper team is playing with a TON of confidence right now. Next weeks game at Campbell Co. should be a VERY good game!

So uh... where's rebelfan?

Campbell next week? That will give us a good feel for both teams.

Agree 100% with both comments. :thumb:

Prickett NOT Pritchard lol. My apologies to Cooper's qb.

I don't know about top 10 in the state, but I think everyone's eyes are wide open on Cooper now. It isn't just that they are winning the games, it is how impressively they are winning.
