Cooper vs. Highlands Frosh - rescheduled

Is Coopers field in that bad of shape?

Scheduled for today?

I thought they actually spent time watering this field per other threads. Seriously, if you know your field is not playable then why would you not reach out to the opponent and see if there is any way possible to change the location? A game played at this level is certainly better than not playing one at all because you can rest assured this will not be made up, thus both teams lose a game which is not fair to the kids.

Saturday morning at 10am. Is the rescheduled date at cooper.

All that panic relieved in 10 minutes.......

Bummer, I had my "with a spirit that will not play" blast on the tee and ready to launch. :)

Let's hope it does not rain Friday night. It has not rained since yesterday. Baby Birds were looking forward to hitting someone other than other Birds.

Supposed to rain late Friday night thru first part of Saturday

I get the vibe and hope it's not the case that Cooper is to blame for their field conditions. Believe me, we'd like nothing more than turf. Board of Ed said it wasn't in the budget. If our alumni would just pitch in - I know some of them have to be making $10/hour by now somewhere, right?!?!

I don't think anyone is insuitating that. It's a smart move by Cooper's AD to move the game. I know the young men at HHS are frustrated, but Cooper must do what is best for their program and making sure their field is ready for the varsity team on Friday is the way to do that. As an HHS fan, and a football fan in general, I would rather see a game on a dry field anyway.

Gentlemen - I kid you not, someone actually said that at a Booster's meeting - that the alumni needed to start helping with capital improvements. And THAT was 2 years ago, when the first class - all 68 of 'em - would have only finished college if they were on the 4 year plan, nevermind the ones who didn't go to college.

Enough to make you cry if you don't laugh.

Pigskin, can you tell us anything about the young men playing for Cooper? Simply, based on what I have seen in here it sounds like they put quite a "whooping" in NCC and have some good skilled players.

Couple of really nice players for Cooper's freshmen team. The QB Schalrman (sp) is a good athlete who can move and throw. The receiver Brown is a good athlete too. Couple of other kids but I don't know their names off the top of my head.

Great day for a game!!!!!!
