Someone made this comment earlier on here and I beginning to agree with it. They roughly stated that its hard to place a ranking on a sophomore because most of the players at still developing.

 

I agree there are some clear cut players that stand out on our their own in the 2017 class but I also think there are some sophomores that depending on there team/school may not see real action till the next year as a Junior because of their current roster. There are a few kids from 10th region schools that come to mind when I say this.

Hollowel from UHA holds an offer from Oklahoma State and has received interest from IU.

 

Sebree has an offer from Samford and has already visited Tennessee.

Any list that has Tobler ranked ahead of Dylan James is questionable from the get go with me.

I'm not the best with names but I know I didn't see them on this list. I think you've got schools like CCH that have currently and will always have long benches, which is one example I can think of that a kid may not get their opportunity to stand out until their Junior year because they have such a strong varsity roster currently.

If so they have a couple of nice Sophs, Bertsch and Hegyi but not sure they are or will be in the top 30 rankings in the state of Ky for that class this year or over the next 2. These kids that make the list have shinned over the summer or have played varsity on very good teams. See Cole VanHandorf who stood out on a team that just won state.

None of the Cordia players? I figured at least one of their 28 year olds graduating in 2017 would have made the list.

OK now you have me confused. You referenced deep benches not allowing soph's to get exposure. You reference Cov Cath which has one of the players listed. You mention 10th region teams that have kids that come to mind but you can't remember who they are. Not trying to beat up on you but Just curious as to what youngsters we can look forward to seeing in the next couple of years. I have always been a fan of the late bloomers and hate these type of rankings which are bogus. Only kids that go to certain camps or play on certain AAU teams get the love. Oh a little exposure in the state tourney never hurts either.

I believe that is where he was at before he came to the United States.

I believe not to far behind those 30 would be a kid from West Jessamine named Isaiah Okesson. Didnt see varsity time as a freshman but looks to be a really good shooter.

That kid is a player!!! I look forward to following him at West Jessamine.

Hopefully the rest of NKY gets to see some of Austin Crawford from Bracken County this year. The kid has game.

 

He is definitely the real deal. A lot of the polar bears success will be determined by his play. He has a good young supporting cast but how he goes is how Bracken will go.

 

 

 

Another excellent Sophmore that's not on this list is Matt Wilson. Unless of course I'm mistaken and he's actually not a Sophmore. :lol2:
