Anybody who has Ashland Blazer in their top 10, are simply guessing. They have lost A LOT! I mean A LOT. Sure they may improve as the season goes along, but as of right now they have one good player, Nick Miller. This could be a tough season for them. In the 16th, there are several teams ahead of them right now.

 

I don't know enough about the 13th thru 15th Regions to make a list, but I would easily say Rowan and Boyd belong in the top ten of this list.

What do Rowan and Boyd have coming back?

Rowan has Ryne Callahan (probably #1 in 16th Reg), Justin Graham (probably top defender in 16th Reg) and Larry Whelan coming back. A pretty tough three-some of guards. They have their 6'6" boy coming back, Brandon Moore. who is an outstanding athlete.

 

Boyd has Bobby Anderson (prob best point guard in 16th Reg), along with Conner Gauze (solid big guy)...plus they have picked up a couple of solid transfers.

I gotcha on that! Players flying all over the place! Most years it would be safe to throw them in the top ten of a list like this.

Perry Central will be better than Knott Central. Believe that.

I'm a fan of 56th district teams so it doesn't really matter to me whether Knott, Perry, or Hazard win it or not. I'd like to see one of the teams from my district do it but there's not even a remote chance of that happening.

 

But when the dust settles in early March the Knott County Central Patroits will be making their 4th straight trip to play in Rupp Arena. They've been there, done that, and have far too much experience.

Just giving the group on here a heads up on one of the first big games you might want to get out to see. I have been told that Trinity will come to Hindman for Knott County's jamboree in November. Should be interesting to see Evan and the boys take on his teammates from TheVille.

They just don't have a lot left...a lot of young players with very little experience and watching them over the summer, they are a bit short on talent (could get better).

That's surprising if Ashland is indeed below the top 5 in the region. Not sure if I can remember the last time that has happened.

Got word a bit ago that Marquis 'Lulu' Nowell of Cordia will be spending next season at St. Anthony's in New Jersey.

Lots of parity in this list, so the discussion should be fun. I think that most any of the teams on the list could beat each other on the right night, especially with the teams in the top 10.

Funny, I thought that Cordia had an appeal pending that would be heard sometime in the next week and a half. KCC didn't look in a league of their own against Bowling Green. Dropped Blazer once I heard Thornton was gone.
