August 21, 201412 yr A five time Emmy winner for his analysis on Sunday Night Football seems to think they Bengals are one of the most talented teams in the NFL... There’s not a team across the board that has more physical talent than they do,” Collinsworth said. “It’s just a matter of can you make those big plays in big games?” “Can you beat a Manning? Can you beat a Tom Brady? Can you beat an Aaron Rodgers? There are certain teams that have those guys that have proven themselves Super Bowl worthy. Right now they’re certainly good enough to be in that hunt right now.” Once again as I showed last year that there are NFL people who also share my opinion on the overall talent of the Bengals. IMO it still just like last year will come down to the play of Dalton and well coaching. You can have talent but if you don't have the QB play and coaching then you will lose in the playoffs like they have. So it will come down to the again IMO. Notes: Collinsworth says no one has more talent; Hill aims 7 per; Whit says Geno has comeback power
August 21, 201412 yr Author How long are your arms that they reach your back so well? Hey when I have people or a person who likes to argue a lot saying I am wrong, then I have no problem showing how my opinion is apparently shared by others. So apparently what I see with them when I look at them is not as far off as people try to say. Its more about how it's not just optimistic look, its a realistic outlook on them. Which I feel like many people with all the horrible years forgot how to look realistically at them because grown so use to them being bad so that has just sunk in to their thinking. At the end of the day I know it is just my opinion, just like most of the post on here are just opinions. Which I think we all forget on here (me included) that it is just opinions. We just like to back ours up, like I am doing here.
August 21, 201412 yr I like Collinsworth, but he's Captain Obvious saying the Bengals are talented. Which might make futurecoach, Admiral Obvious by default.
August 21, 201412 yr Author I like Collinsworth, but he's Captain Obvious saying the Bengals are talented. Which might make futurecoach, Admiral Obvious by default. The main reason why I needed to bring this up, is because apparently its not obvious because I been told that I am wrong on that opinion.
August 21, 201412 yr I think few would argue that they have Top5-10 talent in starters. If they stay healthy in their key positions, they could make the playoffs again. Who knows what happens when you get there? Any key injuries at QB, DT, and RB they will be in trouble. I know you can say that about every team. Broncos are very average without P Manning, Pats w/o Brady, etc. that is mostly the QB position for them. I don't see how the Bengals stop the run or pressure up the middle w/o Geno and have the TD threat every play w/o Gio. In the playoffs last year, the Chargers just ran it down our throats and we knew it and couldn't stop it. They found something over the last part of the season that lead to this. I think they realized they could handle the others one on one. Gio absolutely takes pressure off the #2 & #3 receiver and he is such a pass catching threat. They have no one else close to his skills set on the roster. Front line talent outstanding, depth IMO is still a huge concern. Injuries are inevitable, we just don't know when or where.

You might get some Dalton kickback, some grief about Malalluoueolauiga and his awfulness, but where has anyone said they lack talent?
August 22, 201412 yr Author On here or in an alteitnate universe? You might get some Dalton kickback, some grief about Malalluoueolauiga and his awfulness, but where has anyone said they lack talent? Actually I was told a lot by how wrong I was for stating they were most talented since last super bowl team and oneof the most talented in league.Shots were given all year about that. Shoot even a thread was made mocking my statement saying the browns must be the most talented since they beat the bengals. It still continued in the pre season thread after last game. So yes I heard it a lot in the last year lol. Told how im not the realistic one and just looking through orange shaded glasses to think that. So any time I can point out even nfl people see the talent on the team I will. Because it is one of the most talented but it will come down to qb play and coaching which they are weak at when it comes to big games.
August 22, 201412 yr Author So it's just an opinion? Yes sir but an opinion I have to back up since I was told how wrong and crazy I was to think that. So i try to use things to support my opinion. Because if i am wrong like with palmer then i will hear it and thats fine. I will stand strong by my opinions unless they end up wrong like on Palmer or the reds this year lol. Just Like when the team finished in the top ten in both offense and defense I do think that supports my opinion very well and should be said since I had to hear how wrong I was to think that.

Curious on your opinion on why you think depth is weak at rb? I agree on dt for sure even though thompson filled in well for atkins until he got injured. At rb they have gio and now another second round back in jeremy hill and currently still bjge. I assume your not that high on hill? So just curious why you view that as not much depth?

Not down on Hill at all. He has proven nothing in the NFL, he could be great. Hill has started fine, though. The injury Saturday concerns me. It was probably precautionary, but... He has an injury and character history. I want to wait and see. BJGE is finished IMO. He is serviceable at best. Hill does not have the skill set to demand the attention that Gio does. Teams have to game plan Gio, I don't think they will as much with Hill. Without Gio, teams can plan around stopping the TE's and #2 receiver. It's a given they will double Green, no matter what.
