August 15, 201412 yr You posted this a couple of times so I have to ask, why did you go? And would you go again? I think we all have joked about it, but when it comes right down to it I really have no interest in going to any public place where everyone is naked. Especially the beach where there are a few places I want to protect from the elements. So what is the allure? Is it the novelty of it? Exhibitionist or Voyeur? Some other reason? It was more like we were there, it was there, no one we knew was there, no pictures allowed to prove we were there so why not?!?

Been to Orient Beach 3 times and participated. It really was no big deal at all to me. Let me say it was not what I thought it would be. The people that might look good nude weren't and those that really don't look good (like me) were. Going back in December. The weirdest thing was having to put suntan lotion on places I normally don't. I really was most uncomfortable that there were two young teenage girls (probably 13-15 years old) on the beach with their families and they were all nude. In some cultures this is normal.
August 18, 201412 yr It wasn't too terribly "off the beaten path", but on vacation down in Kiawah near Charleston, SC about a month ago, I took a detour to see the Angel Oak. It's a live oak tree (that's a "live oak" - a species of tree) believed to be somewhere around 600 years old, although depending on who you talk to, you could be told it's upwards of 1,500 years old. The tree is 66 feet tall, the trunk is 28 feet in circumference, and the canopy shades 17,200 square feet of forest floor. It has individual limbs that are 11 feet in circumference and upwards of 190 feet in length. Definitely something to behold. [ATTACH=CONFIG]46145[/ATTACH] Luckily it isn't located in Auburn, AL.
