August 10, 201412 yr Author The guy was completely wrong. Unreliable is a perfect word imo. That guy may have been. But now we have people who have watched the video and are giving their eyewitness testimony. Who is right? Who is wrong? Somebody is right and that is why I say all witness testimonies aren't unreliable. People are going to speak on what they think they saw. Someone is going to be right.
August 10, 201412 yr Author Can you see a fishtail in that video, I can't. I think 2C nailed what probably happened very closely. Car in front of Stewart swerved to miss him leaving him right in front of Stewart. Stewart tries to swerve and hits him with his large rear wheel. I saw Stewart not have much room for his car to go anywhere between the kid and the other car. I also saw Stewart's car make no attempt to slow down.

How do you know what he could see? How do you know what exactly went through his mind? Normal situations on a race track don't involve dodging humans. I'm not saying he did or didn't do it on purpose...I am saying I'm not qualified or i don't know enough to say for certain either way.

I would think that during a caution a driver could avoid a wreck and contact with human being on the track but that is an unqualified opinion using the information we have so far. We'll never know what was going on through his mind and as a result he may be able to get away with murder as a result.
August 10, 201412 yr It's awful coincidental to simultaneously hear an engine rev and see the tail end pitch out, then as soon as the RPMs go down the rear end straightened back out. He revved that engine. I don't think he meant to hit that kid but it happened.

Reaction time is difficult to gauge, but I've read that it takes about 1.5 seconds at least from the time you see something to actually start moving to avoid it. Do you have any clue when he saw him?

He's been wrecked plenty and called out plenty in his days. However, as HB is demonstrating, a defense attorney will get him off, no way Stewart takes the fall when the kid got out of the car.
