Things I Love

I love:

- Debbie Downer - Real funny stuff.

- My Parents

- My Partner

- My Siblings

- My Cat

- My Friends

-Well maintained litter free parks with fields of green grass, flowers, beautiful trees and nice views.

Local examples would be Devou Park, Friendship Park, Eden Park, Ault & Alms (I always get the two mixed up, but love both).

-The Big Bang Theory TV Show - currently my favorite and one of my all time favorites.

-Classic well maintained vintage architecture. It saddens me when I see a fantastic old property in ruins.

-Quaint clean well maintained vintage small towns with an interesting centralized business district that still manages to thrive.

-Kentucky High School Basketball (Especially the 9th Region.)

- The Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena.

- March Madness

-Solid timeless songs of any genre (Especially those that tug at the heart or have brilliant meaningful lyrical content).

-Roller Coaster Designs (However I think I'm done with riding them,) but still find them to be an amazing work of art that tests the laws of physics.

-Well behaved dogs or cats that make you melt just by looking at them.

- Beautiful days at the Cincinnati Zoo.

- Watching snow fall.

- Fresh snowy scene on land and rooftops before it's been trampled on and turned to dirty sloppy slushy gunk.

-75-85 degree, low humidity sunny blue sky days.

-Interesting documentaries (Especially dealing with science, history or entertainment).

-Space exploration.

-Well done timeless movies of any era with substance.

- Beautiful Autumn days with trees full of color.

- A good nights sleep.

- Gyros when done right.

- Oceans, Rivers, Lakes, Water Falls, Babbling Brooks, Creeks, Streams.

- Swimming Pools and fountains.

- Snacking out on crunchy salty snacks without care (although those days are over).

-Indulging on anything chocolate or chocolate brownies (although those days are over).

-An ice cold beverage on a really hot day.

- Coffee w/ a touch of cream.

- Indulging on ice cream (although those days are over).

- Writing Songs and Singing (however as I age I'm sadly losing proper tone and can't quite hit the high notes like I once could).

- Walking tours of interesting places alone, or with only one other person to keep it from getting complex or too difficult.

- Memorable live concerts in small clubs.

- Captivating musicals or plays.

- Stand up comics that really connect and make you laugh uncontrollably.

- Variety classic or modern dance showcases where each piece is no longer than 10 minutes long. Entire ballets bore me.

- Exercising - Energizing and can be uplifting when you're feeling physically or mentally out of sorts.

1. My kids

The older I get the more seem to love them, even when you didn't think you could love them anymore than you currently do.

Exactly 7 days from now I will be driving home after dropping my youngest off at College and for the first time in my life all 3 of my kids will be living in a different state than me. I will have my oldest daughter who is married living in Ohio, my 2nd daughter living in Florida and my son starting college outside of Cleveland Ohio. The wife and I will be empty nesters and Im not sure I'm looking forward to it.

I should have added reading to my list. Probably average 100-200 pages a day reading something or other.

I love that I don't love stuff like I used to.

1. When my kids show their sense of humor.

2. BGP

3. When my kids want to spend time with each other.

4. My Man

5. When my kids are really happy.

7. Cletus

9. Total emersion in a project and that sense of accomplishment when completed.

10. My Church

11. Watching my kids play sports.

12. Beaches, lakes, rivers.

13. Having a calendar full of events to look forward to.

14. Shopping at greenhouses and planting flowers.

15. Reading

My kids and my granddaughter---I more than love them...I ADORE them

My dogs--my other children.

The sense of accomplishment I have when I do a good job

I should probably be ashamed but...proving my IT department wrong...especially when they tell me there's no problem and I detail the issue to the point that all they have to do is fix it...don't even find it.

I love words

I love books, actual, physical books..the smell, the experience of turning the pages while lost in the tale.

A great meal of pasta

Red wines, especially Shiraz

Driving through Patoka Lake at dawn

Dawn anywhere

Bruce Springsteen

Working from home

Arriving at in a new city or destination. Not a fan of the travel if it involves flying, but love getting there.

I'm with you. Daughter let me borrow her Nook a couple of times and it simply wasn't the same.

Same same! I want to turn pages. I want to be able to see how much I read and how much further I have to go.

I know. I tried it once and I'll never do it again. Worst reading experience of my life. Reading an article electronically is fine. I simply can't lose myself in a story virtually turning the pages. Half the joy is gone!

16. Funny People. If you make me laugh, I love you!

17. A great bargain. If I got something on sale and with a coupon, I love it even more.

18. Hugs. It's a good thing. Makes even the most awkward encounters less awkward.

I love funny people too!

I love, too, the absurdities in life. Often, what riles others is hilarious to me.
