I'd agree with Sweeper that Jeff schedules this scrimmage every year with X as a measuring stick to determine where his team is and what he needs to work on/develop in order to be a state title contender.

No shame in 'losing' a scrimmage to a team of X's caliber if it helps your team get better....which, after all, is the point of a pre season scrimmage.

Agree. All the folks who get giddy about a scrimmage are goofs. All it is a a barometer of where your team is at the moment. Neither team will show too much of what they have. They'll just work on basics, give certain kids a look. What I look for is how a kid handles himself in situations. Keeping score is nutty. (Even though I voted for SK in the poll. See how the goofiness can effect you? Crazy!)

I'm looking forward to the day that X is using SK as their measuring stick.

You will be looking for a very long time...

Maybe. Maybe not. We're gaining every year. Better check the mirror for us is your an X fan.

Ryle? That ship looked like the Waterfront, been taking on water for years and finally sank.

I think X will win the scrimmage, but who really cares. As has been pointed out already, scrimmages are used to gauge where your team is compared to where you want them to be. Playing better competition only makes you better.

SK will probably not even have a game plan for X they will be preparing for Collins.

Same goes for X. Don't know too many teams who game plan for a scrimmage, it's all about preparing the team for the season.

Both teams will have minor game plans, just to get the players and the coaches back in the mode of game prep. We as fans usually think of scrimmages for the players, but they are great to work out situations with the coaches as well. As long as each team can learn from the scrimmage they both come out of it as winners. The only time in a game situation where that is ok.

If the past is any indicator I think X. Will work on what they want or need to and not worry about SK.
