It also appears he wants a dual threat qb in his system. Most are saying that Johnson is a great runner, but his passing abilities are underated. Barker better be working his tail off during the offseason and learn Hinshaw's system quickly if he want's to keep his starting job.

Drew is more than capable of keeping Johnson's snaps limited though.

Drew is more than capable of keeping Johnson's snaps limited though. I feel the same way. I think it will be good for Drew to know that his backup is no slouch. I don't want another year of qb controversy, but I also don't want Drew to become complacent and not work his tail off to keep his starting job.
