I think everyone that is left has bigger plans but I would discount the importance of the district championship. To the kids that played in that game last night one more would have meant alot because it was their championship.

Actually Ashland has 70 District titles and I'm sure that Drew and Matt and the other CATS wanted to win badly. However I think that after 7 in arow the loss might have been good to get them hungry for a 33 REGIONAL TITLE and roll in to Rupp Arena! Should the CATS cut the nets down next Sat. night the 64th District title game maybe takes a backseat!!! I look for Ashland to beat Fairview if they meet for Round 3!

I wouldn't overlook Elliott County if I were Ashland.

No Doubt the 16th Region is wide open! I don't think you can overlook ANY TEAM this season! I look for all the first round game to be tough! Remeber Menifee Co. took the Fairview to OT in the All A Classic! They have a good first year Coach in Brandon Combs and he will have his team prepared to play at MSU! I still think IMO Ashland and Fairview are the paper favorites to make it to the Finals!

My pick would be Ashland to advance to Rupp, Fairview will probably be the favorite coming out of the lower bracket, I look for Eagles to choke like they did in the "A" regional, maybe in the semi final round.

Fairview won the All A Region 78-48 over Elliott. If thats a choke then I hope I can gag to a title one of these days.:thumb:
