VA Congress Candidate offers $100K for nude pics of 19-year old

I didn't say that you did, you were just inferring that the money could have been put to better use and I was giving an Idea on how that could be done. Sounded to me like an idea you'd support.

Then you don't know me.

I was replying to a post that questioned why people seem to care more about animals than people. Others mentioned the cost to hunt these animals. If one is more concerned about people than animals, they wouldn't spend that kind of money to kill one animal, even if its meat is used (assuming it is used in such a way.)

Looks to me like Dickinson got his point across.

That it's ok to put a bounty on those you disagree with? Ok.

I'll give naked pictures of me for $100,000

:puke: How about we take up a collection to make sure those pics never see the light of day.

That works too, as long as I get a check in the mail either way :)

I was in the bathroom doing a selfie, but forgot the camera :sssh:

No, to generate discussion about what he objects to. Considering that two thirds of the posts in this thread a about what she killed, not the naked pictures or his tact, it seems that's exactly what has happened in this thread.

Point is, nobody is talking about what she is laying on without his outrageous offer.

I researched this last night...not gonna try to find the links again so just take my word for this...but the buffalo before the mass killing/slaughter in the 19th century, ranged in estimates between 30-100 million head. Several experts believed it was probably around 40-50 million, so lets go with that number. Before the turn of the 20th century, I think it gave the date of around 1889, the estimated number of buffalo left was approximately 750. As in hundred. In just a handful of years, an animal that was proverbially "think as fleas" on the plains of this country were almost eradicated. The ONLY reason they are roaming around today is through great care and management for many many years with what was left of a heard of millions.

I know this is off topic a little bit, but lets not pretend that the near extinction of the buffalo was some little thing, because it was just a few hundred from being a complete and utter tragedy.

My argument is, without careful oversight and game management, the very same thing can and is happening to some exotic species of animals in these 3rd world countries, many of which are "governed" by strong arm corrupt despots/governments with plenty of poachers and less than concerned hunters dotting the countryside.

While you went into more detail, I believe we are in agreement here. Past abuses have allowed for us to realize there is a need for a balance. Protection has brought back the numbers of many creatures. I can remember when deer hunting was allowed in Campbell Co. for the first time in years back in the 1960's, for a 3 day weekend. Now deer, turkey and rabbits are all over the place, especially in my garden. This type of conservation is responsible for the hunting of lions.

By the way, much of the info you supplied on the buffalo I used in US History class.

I just reread by post and I should have said "practices have been put into place".

As long as the population supports hunting...no problem with the actual hunting itself. Hunting just for the thrill of the trophy, however, isn't my cup o tea, but to each their own.

Talked to a fellow co worker here in the office yesterday, said he had a friend that had eaten lion meat. Said it was the worst, most rancid tasting meat he had ever eaten, not even close to anything else. I've had black bear at a hunters "beast feast" before, and that was absolutely terrible. I can't hardly imagine a meat worse than what I had that night with the black bear.

What is kind of funny about this entire story is at the exact same time this story hit the headlines, a very good friend of mine (he's a taxidermist) and his wife were in Africa on a safari and hunting trip. They were posting pics on FB of all their trophy's at the same time and yes she shot and killed some animals there also. They got a lot of big game including Zebra's etc. yet this cheerleader is hung in the public square because of the same thing.

Cracks me up actually. Many people up in arms don't realize what they do with with the animals after they are killed. Many go on to feed orphanages in the area etc.

Seems like if your purpose is to feed orphanages that your hundreds of thousands of dollars could go a lot further using other means.

The main question is who wouldn't look at the pictures of her if they were available? I'd take a peak for sure.
