June 27, 201412 yr Meso at first Pena at C. At some point in the future they will have to entertain the option of Meso playing somewhere other than catcher IMO. He's going to be too good of a hitter. Could he play left field? Just a thought.
June 27, 201412 yr Could he play left field? Just a thought. I would think 1B and 3B would be the most likely spots. JMO.
June 27, 201412 yr Could he play left field? Just a thought. He seems to be a pretty good athlete. I think with some work he could. I'd think he could be on the same level of defense as Ludwick or Adam Dunn.
June 27, 201412 yr They'll steal a page from the World Cup and go to hit differential. Since Cueto and Bumgarner will likely offset one another, it may all come down to Ghana & Portugal.
June 27, 201412 yr Since Cueto and Bumgarner will likely offset one another, it may all come down to Ghana & Portugal. Or in this case, St. Louis & Los Angeles...

June 27, 201412 yr Really could use Meso's bat against the lefty Bumgarner tonight. Would be the perfect night to give Votto his day off, and catch Meso and put Pena at 1st base. So were saying Meso is better than Votto?

June 27, 201412 yr And have barely gained any ground on the Brewers. Argued with Lance Mcalister the other day when I saw him at Krogers over this very point. He has been on the radio for weeks about this team just needs to get above .500 baseball to have a chance. A few games above .500 does no good when the Division leader and the wild card teams are all many games above .500. IMO the Brewers win this division unless something catastrophic happens. If the Reds are not 6 games or so above .500 by the trade deadline, theres no chance this year for playoffs and its time to start selling.
June 27, 201412 yr So were saying Meso is better than Votto?Nope I didn't say that, even though Meso's numbers are much better than Votto's right now. Price stated the other day that Votto would be given a day off soon. I feel today would be the best day so they could keep Meso's bat in the lineup against the lefty tonight.

Just absurd.
June 27, 201412 yr Thank goodness you don't make decisions for this team. Just absurd. Why is it absurd? Your about to lose 2 of your 3 key starting pitchers and possible your closer because you cant sign them and out of money. Get rid of the money problem. (I guess it could be absurd as im not sure what team in baseball would want Voto.)

June 27, 201412 yr And have barely gained any ground on the Brewers. True, but at this point of the season you only need to be worrying about how you are doing. They have the best or second best record in baseball in June I believe. As long as they keep playing like this, good things will happen
