Anti-Redskin Commercial Airing Tonight

Featured Replies

That is pretty powerful. If they say this is offensive to them, then it needs to be changed. The NFL will force action somewhere down the road. This commercial did not find Indian, tribal names, Chief offensive.

Anti-Redskin Commercial Airing Tonight

There's an off-color joke to be found somewhere in this, I think. Where's Don Rickles when you need him?

IMO it shouldn't be aired. There have been many commercials that were refused to be aired.

I love how all the politicians in Washington are suddenly so offended by the name when they are consistent guests for games. I am fine hearing the calls for change from those truly offended, but hearing it from them is what makes me sick about the whole situation.

I find the W word offensive. I ain't white, I'm Caucasian.

Your thoughts on why it should not be aired?

Why don't we see the commercial before we decide if it should have been aired or not.

It's in post #1.

Ha. So it is. I read the article and skipped right over the video. My apologies.

Pretty good commercial. See no reason it shouldn't be run. Maybe it will help the plight of the American Indian somehow.

I don't see it changing anything regarding the name though.

I just don't like how a group tries to force change on another business. Now I'm all for the Native Americans and if the Redskins are forced to change their name then so should Cleveland Indians, especially since saying Indian is politically incorrect.

So you would be a customer of a company that promotes Islam? Anti-Christian?

It'll probably be a while before we see the Jacksonville Jihadists take the field.

The commercial says that they call themselves Indian, so that shouldn't be an issue (maybe the logo in Cleveland). But if the folks that the Redskin logo represent are offended by the word then I say change it.

I find the name Washington more offensive than I do the name Redskins! Washington is the home of the crooks and the root of most evil, speaking about our current government officials! Just saying!
