The same holds true for George Zimmerman. Since his acquittal it's deemed news worthy if he breaks wind loudly in a public place.

Another excellent point. Maybe OJ did kill them both after all.

Good point. Reasonable people believe George Zimmerman was a racist who killed an unarmed black kid while acting as an over zealous and racist neighborhood watch captain.
The only racist comments made that night were made during the conversation between Trayvon Martin and his girlfriend. Trayvon should have been home serving out his suspension from school. When you attack an armed man and begin banging his head into the pavement, you should be prepared to accept at least partial responsibility for your own death.

And reasonable people believe that OJ Simpson was a rich black man who bought a dream team of lawyers and used the color of his skin and his celebrity to play to the sympathies (and racial apologists) of the jury.

Not to get side tracked but I thought it was a Sunday night when the incident took place.

And reasonable people learned that the justice system was flawed like black people had been claiming and it took a black dude to "get away with murder" for the nation to start listening. Funny how that works.

Truth

Best post of the thread!

What difference does it make? It was a Sunday night and if my kid had just been suspended from high school for the third time, he would have been safe at home making up for his lost time in a classroom. An earlier suspension found Trayvon with a bag full of women's jewelry that obviously did not belong to him.

Martin was a thief and a racist thug who assaulted the wrong man at the wrong time. That is the reason that he is dead.

I take this from all the incidents mentioned in this thread:

While we strive for "justice for all", the fact is, there is no such thing as "blind" or "equal" justice. Just lends more strength to my objection on the death penalty. If a guilty person can be freed, an innocent one is just as likely to be condemned.

I understand what your saying but there are circumstances/cases where there is not doubt...in those I have no problem with it if the jury and judge hand that sentence down.

Disagree strongly. There was no doubt in OJ's case, right?

You're a day late and a dollar short.

Sorry. I was just responding to your off topic posts. You are correct. The two cases are not related at all.

I didn't bring it up but I am guilty of commenting about it. If you want to get into specifics about Trayvon there is the thread to do so.

No, there was doubt as brought by the defense team. I'm talking about cases where the killer is captured and there is NO doubt they did it. Our Sheriff was murdered in front of 150 people and the killer was captured with the gun and riding the same motorcycle he fled on within 10 minutes...No Doubt he was guilty...none.

Believe it or not there are more cases than not that are 100% sure, then there are some decided just on a preponderance of the evidence.

Believe me...more than just unborn babies deserve to die.
