You will find these days that coaches will tend to play their best WR's as DB's also unless they platoon. Wouldn't surprise me if they play their players both ways that Feggins finds the defensive side of the ball as well. It's no surprise many coaches play their best recievers both ways as it has become one of the most athletic positions these days. Feggins sounds like a very intelligent player and should be able to pick up the DB position fairly easy as LNG as he can tackle he should make for a very good DB. Deffinatly has the speed and the ability to go after the ball.

 

The problem with this is if they play any team that has depth at WR. I guess if they play zone it would be better but if they go man to man, I send whatever receiver he is guarding on a post pattern full sprint every play.

For a player of such obvious respect from such a high end program as FTH, can anyone tell my why the kid has no offers right now? He is big, fast, and from watching his film, can clearly play. Not to mention the obvious many connections his dad must have in the college coaching ranks...what's the hold up?

Don't like what a grown man says and take a shot at his kid? That's not really the height of maturity.

I always thought he had good speed, if not he can deffi ally play safety and not cb. Shoot I know of a very good WR who played safety the last 3 years but this past season was moved to OLB and ended up with 7 sacks playing a new position. Maybe LB isn't out of the question either. Just saying many of the good WR's can play both sides due to their athleticism many times.

No doubt he could play both. I just think a team with depth at WR could tire him out if they made him run 40 yard sprints every snap.

I was thinking the same thing just the other day. Jenson is going to be one tired puppy when he plays Highlands....

 

Doug Ramsey of Elder still gets a standing ovation from me for how he coached that game that very "Warm" fall day. An outstanding coaching job!

 

Boring but effective. He also did an outstanding job getting the obvious fumble overturned. Reminds me of a group of guys who were able to "talk" an official into an interception at a game this past fall;)

And the only reason I am using BH name here is because Brett was an individual "Superstar" imo, and Iam thinking that JF might be a team "Superstar", big difference imo.Highlands has been blessed with a whole bunch of "team" Superstars over the last 100 yrs and Jensen certainly was on his way to fitting the bill.

 

Either way, he certainly has not dissappointed during his one season at Highlands as a starter in the spotlight and I wish him nothing but the best along with his family at WC.:thumb:

 

Brett was more consistent for sure. However, that game against Elder, Feggins had about as clutch a game as you can for a receiver. 221 yards, multiple conversions on 3rd and long (a couple going up and over double teams) that kept drives alive. He starred in that game on pure individual talent. However, there were games that he was completely taken out of, and Hamblen never really was. I don't know if that was in the game planning or not, just an observation.

Honestly would have been an interesting year for Jensen at HHS since everyone would game plan to stop him and make the other receivers step up their game. May actually make things a little better in the long run knowing that opponents cannot focus on stopping one guy.

In no way, shape, or form does losing Feggins help. He could catch 10 balls for 150 a night. Highlands has to move on which they have and now spread those 10 balls around.

That's fair, but I wasn't really referring to anything on here. If I'm the parent, I have a real problem with the Facebook poster. Take shots at me, not my kid.
