Anyone who has paid attention knows what has gone on over there...both athletically and within the school system.

You have no clue what you are talking about.

Well said babyjack1 it couldnt have been stated any better better

"never has so little been known about so much"

Typically any team that loses their entire starting line-up (including an All-State player and a couple other All-Region players) is going to experience a down year. I fully expect the Indians to be competitive in the region next year.

The last two years have probably been two of the best 3 or 4 years in the history of the program in large part to having a pair of All-State players. Those types of seasons are not the norm. The norm is a team that is somewhere in the 3-6 range in the region with the occasional year they challenge for a region title and the occasional year they struggle to reach .500. I fully expect them to maintain that level of program going forward.

With that said, I do think it is crucial for Coach Daniel to stick around for at least a few years. If for any reason (on either side) he isn't back after the upcoming year, I do think it will be difficult for the school to find a suitable replacement.

Rez, I think this is very well said. I would compare the program at this point to the pre

Happy teams. Every 3rd or 4th year they should be in the hunt for a region title. Fans and supporters will need to pull the reins back a little and let the teams develop.

I wouldn't judge the team until March, you have to remember none of these kids have been the go to guy or the playmaker for others at the varsity level, it will take some time.

Hickory might have chose the wrong words to use, but to say nothing at Moco has been out of sorts the last few years is silly.

If only 4 applicants indeed did apply, i'll agree with Rez, I'm not sure where the next coach will come from.

"never has so little been known about so much".... I wish for once someone would really tell the truth about coaches getting fired, leaving, dismissed. ect ect. For me it gets old hearing all the stories and half truths about these guys. It's their careers and the way they feed their family's.

If they did something truly wrong they should be held accountable.

I honestly don't believe these guys did much of anything other than rubbing certain people the wrong way.

That and you can't always trust who you think you can.........

I very easily could have been misinformed. I hope Coach Daniel well but based on what has happened to previous coaches and teachers it is hard to have a lot of confidence in the Superintendent and the administration at Montgomery Co.

I agree Texas ranger. I know what happened on each case. I need to wait a while to put that in print. But the right time will come.

Congratulations to Coach Daniel. I'm sure he will do a great job... it's in his blood.

if you really do know, there is no right time to make those details public.

I know what your saying Plato, but....

I wish coach Holland or coach Wise would sign onto BGP and say ... "ok lets hear it".....

Its a fire at will state we live in so I guess it really don't matter. But 2 coaches with 20+ win seasons and their gone after 1 year. I just get tired of a school administration that no longer backs their coach and throws them out on the street the first time the coach steps on some toes.

awwww I miss the 70's lol....

I didn't realize he was the son of Don Daniel.

Matt Daniel, named Boys Bball coach today at Montgomery Co.

Is this typical for how MoCo announces their Head Basketball Coach selection ? Just curious as I don't think I have ever seen a jersey presentation for an announcement before. This intrigues me.

Agree. Just trying to give a little. No intentions of doing blabbing.

Are all of their underclassman returning? Any transfer possibilities to and from? Where are they playing summer ball at? Thanks

It's been done this way at least for the last 3 years.

I guess they got it down by now.
