$15 NBA All-Time Team

Good point. I was pretty young when those were the Finals (I think I was in maybe 3rd-4th grade), and most of what I saw from Hakeem was at the end of his career. I know was always supposed to be very fundamentally sound with great footwork and timing, but I never really saw him as an "above the rim" or freakishly strong kind of guy.

Here is a little taste!!!

Saw an interview with MJ he said is five would be

Magic

Scottie

Worthy

Hakeem

and of course himself...said they would never loose.

Figure you could get Worthy for $1...that would be MJ's $15 team

Magic-$5

Jordan-$5

Pippen-$1

Duncan-$3

Hakeem-$1

Give me my first place prize please.

PG Magic $5

SG Jordan $5

SF Scottie $1

PF Duncan $3

C Hakeem $1

We can score. We can pass. We have a couple of the best defenders ever. We can rebound.

We would win a lot.

Wow...we have the exact same team. I didn't think that would happen with who I picked...you are smarter than you realize Sandman.

Hakeem was extremely athletic and though Wilt might have been a freakish athlete and arguably the most gifted athlete combining ability and strength on this list, Hakeem was quick as a cat and quicker than Wilt was. And when you have you own, patented move named after you, the "dream shake"...your doing alright.

Isiah-3

Kobe-4

Lebron-5

KG-1

Shaq-2

You ain't beating that team either.

PG - Oscar $4

SG - Wade $1 (Best value on the board)

SF - LeBron $5

PF - Dirk $2

C - Wilt $3

Come on now, look at the offense and size in that lineup and tell me how they lose.

Wilt would complain about not getting enough shots and would quit playing defense. And everybody else would be ready to kill Oscar for being such a dick.

That's not really a fair matchup. Shaq was in his 3rd NBA season. Those Rocket teams were likely the worst championship teams of the past 20 years. If the 94 or 95 Rockets met the 2000 Lakers, Shaq would have dominated Olajuwon into retirement IMO.

And Wilt was easily the best athlete of the Centers listed (or ever). He was the LeBron of his day athletically, but overall was probably more athletic than even James is.

Hakeem All-Time Rank Blocks (1), Steals (8), Rebounds (13), Points (9)

Shaq All-Time Rank Blocks (8), Steals (250+), Rebounds (14), Points (7)

2000 Shaq versus 2000 Hakeem maybe...Prime Shaq versus Prime Dream no way!!!

Shaq even ranks Dream has his Greatest Center of All-Time, said he was the one guy he couldn't break!

And everybody else would be ready to kill Oscar for being such a dick.

Just Dirk...

I don't even know about quicker. Hakeem was a great athlete. Wilt was perhaps the greatest pure athlete of all-time. You have to remember that steals and blocks weren't recorded in Wilt's day.

That's because Shaq was scarred from the beating he took as a puppy against Hakeem. I love Olajuwon, but I think Shaq was easily the better player. Maybe not as talented, but Shaq in his prime was unguardable.

I've got four of Michael's five on my team, and the one I didn't pick wasn't available. Kind of feels like a Holiday Inn moment for me (no, I'm not the greatest player of all time but...)

Seriously, I wouldn't take Worthy over Duncan though. Team doesn't need both Worthy and Pippen. They do need a strong four though to allow Pippen to guard in passing lanes and out on the floor.

Thanks for the compliment...I think.

I'd rephrase your post just a little though. I'm smarter than you realize.

I kind of already knew I was pretty smart.:thumb:
