Oh I definitely agree there is a ton of potential there. No doubt. But I think its funny that people talk about the right scheme or technique. There is no right scheme or technique if the guy coaching them cant get the job done. It comes down to a good head coach with a great staff. No matter what scheme you play you can be good if you teach it toward perfection.....

Well they have a Great Coach now! Don't know anything about his staff but Larry French is a proven winner.

Coach French is a heck of a coach.....Been good for a long time....

Staff not sure either....I do hear a 6 pack sure not gonna safe there now though...:lol2:

2014 Southwestern schedule:

Somerset@Ray Correll Bowl

Corbin @ Pigskin Classic

North Hardin @ Don Marshal Bowl

Belfry

Wayne Co.

N. Laurel

Madison Southern

S. Laurel

Lincoln Co.

Pulaski Co.

Beware this team.....

I am serious... don't be fooled by that 1-9 record last year.

Southwestern is going to make a substantial jump forward with the new Coach and the addition of Fannin and Doan. Had the Warriors played a softer schedule they would have been potentially a 6-4 or even a 7-3 team last year.

I heard theres a new song in somerset playing called "Fannin's back in town."

Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't flip that record to 9-1. These guys are that good. Staff last year was very limited and then had injuries. Add the two phenomenal sophomores that were not on the team last year and watch out!!

9-1 would not surprise me in any way...I just hope we are the 1!

What schemes/tech are being correct just me....

2 Definites: #1 4-4 Defense, #2 At some point they will be in a fullhouse backfield and run BELLY

Southwestern will be much improved. I see them at 6-4, 7-3 or just maybe 8-2 with a nice run in play-offs. Larry is a Great Coach and he will have some nice players. We don't need to put too much pressure on him and these kids. Corbin, Pulaski and Belfry are the real deal. Somerset, Wayne and Madison Southern are not chopped liver. So the road will be tough. Good Luck to them and the upcoming season!!!!

This teams wins 6 games from coaching alone. Proper techniques and fundamentals will be taught under Larry. Sw is much much better than in the previous 2 years.

The teams tech/fund will be better only in spots coach French. His boy and the guy from Boyle coaches. Rest guys the same.

If you don't think those guys have a handle on all spots, you are sadly mistaken. The other guys are gonna learn from one of the best. Its hard to learn from someone (last HC & DC, etc) who don't know anything.

I def. agree with part that. But I know Larry was looking hard find find a staff and had to settle on some that was there.
