A lot of truth in this post. What rivalries in N. Ky. have two teams that truly don't like each other? IMO Beechwood and CCH dislike each other more than any other.

Look at the past 8 years in ALL sports. CCH owns Beechwood in every sport. Period. That gets old. To be honest, I don't know why CCH even schedules Beechwood. To Beechwood it is a huge game. To CCH it is a big game but nowhere the BIG game Beechwood makes it out to be. Hence, all the crying you hear in this post from Beechwood.

Just like Highlands owns Covcath in football. Covcath should beat Beechwood they have 600 boys to about 150 boys at beechwood. Congrats to Covcath and Good Luck to Beechwood in regional.

You must be a CCH parent if you were on the end of the dugout because you can't see anything from the far end. The near end was all parents and family I assume because it was all blue. Maybe it was your child!!

 

Also, would like to ask you a question. When CCH coach went to the mound in the 6th and 7th did you happen to hear "here comes the old man again" from the beechwood bench? Or did you hear the "ole" chant in the top of the 6th when beechwood scored 4?

 

A lot of people on here are making comments on here that weren't even at the game. Tell the whole story if you're going to post something .

 

These are two talented teams that don't really like each other and frankly, don't really respect each other either. And guess what. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's fun to watch. I know when I played in this series, I loved it. Nothing better than playing and hopefully beating your rival.

Yea, you're right, I am making it up. Not sure your vantage, but my view was just fine, in fact there are bleachers down that side. Perhaps you should get out more? As for the "old man" comments, did not hear it, and don't condone it. And no, not my kid, have no kid on either team. The people I was around were very cordial and polite. All the juvenile garbage was coming from the bench, at the direction of the coach, who when in the 3rd base box I had a crystal clear view of.

 

I completely disagree with your lack of respect comment. That is called class, and maturity. You don't have to like em, but respect them and treat them as such. Earlier post on here spoke of Coach Ruthsatz. No way he would put up with this type of garbage, he is the anti-krumps. Play hard, talk a little good hearted smack, but don't cross the line. They crossed the line.

What I would love to see for the upcoming regional tourneys, is that no game threads be taken over by this type of garbage. Last year my son experienced probably the best sports experience of his life and all a few posters wanted to talk about was a couple of very minor statements "overheard" in the stands. Let's enjoy the games and leave it at that. If you feel compelled to complain about a group of fans or the behavior of a bench, either start a new thread or better yet let it go. I'm sure any reasonable person there will know who the idiots were.

Read my post again. No where did I say you made it up or that something wasn't said. I simply implied you must have been very close because I didn't hear some of the specific language talked about from where I was at.

Stop the madness!!!!! We have a great regional tournament ahead of us starting Monday. Both the teams in this thread are in it as well as six other quality clubs. Let's set our sights on this and stop the bickering.

I'm not certain what the heckling rule allows and does not, but I am certain that many of you are crossing the line of one or more BGP rules. I don't recommend it, if you like your ability to post.

Here's one thing I think we all can agree on. With all apologies to Holmes fans, glad the region is not at Meinken!! Wow. Rough outfield to say the least.

Whats funny is it was all coming from the scrubs sitting on buckets. I heard things like "shes struggling", "give her a tampon to wipe her eyes", " she couldnt throw it in the ocean". Being into the game is one thing, when you stoop to personal stuff you have crossed the line. State needs to put a stop to this. Krumps was standing right there with a smirk. Kudos to BW for not allowing it. If you need to resort to personal attacks on a 16 year old, you have issues. I was standing right at the end of the CC bench. Had it been my kid, I would have yanked his butt out of their and had a come to Jesus meeting.

 

I would have put a stop to this comment, but all others are harmless. Light-hearted banter IMO, ifthe pitcher doesn't like it smile at the opposing dugout and take care of business to each batter.

 

Splitting hairs trying to stick up for your guy. None of those are specifically directed at pitcher, more toward batter. Cmon, I assume you are a male. Calling you a girl as a teenager was fightin words. Ethan is a competitor and will figure it out, has to stop letting it get him. I will say, if the three or four kids doing all the yapping ever get a chance to hit off him, my advice would be dont dig in. Pretty gutless when you know there is no chance of that happening, so no recourse for acting like a 3 year old.

 

Cry me a river, All we've heard about this young man is how great he is, and he is, but a stud like him has the moxy to overcome this kind of banter. In two years he's going to hear much worse, so he better get used to it.

 

Let me be clear because some are missing the point.

 

I truly do not care about bench jockeying. I get why it bothers some. I know one kid on CCH's team so it's not like I'm so close that I can't see the forest for the trees.

 

I just don't see a competitor like Stringer being rattled by "she" comments. That's hardly a "rattling" comment. I think that angle is being overplayed.

 

The fair question to debate is the role of the head coach and how far he lets it go. That's the only debate so far I see as worthy of discussion. The rest comes across as the losing team looking to get back at the winning team which I have no interest in.

 

P.S. No one has had more PMs directed their way when criticizing Krumps than me so "my guy" is overstated.

 

A stud player like this should use any "banter" as fuel to his fire.

 

We should also remember that sometimes there is a history between teams/players. So if a kid in a previous games makes a comment to the opposing bench there's a chance he is going to hear about it in a subsequent game. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being angels and 10 being devils I'd say this banter is about a 5.

 

Do we know if any of these players on both teams are current teammates/former teammates during summer ball? If this were the case, then everything but the "tampon comment" are a none issue.

 

Lawnboy, you obviously know very little about teaching young men or baseball for that matter.

 

Maybe so, but if I was coaching these players you can bet I'd put my foot down on the "tampon" comment. I'd also instruct my players, "if you ask yourself, can I say this, and it takes you more than 2 seconds before you can answer, then you probably shouldn't".

 

At times I wish I was coaching baseball rather than softball, girls and their "drama" will make you go mad. BTW, the cheering at softball game at times will drive coaches nuts. Can't wait to go to baseball game to hear, "hey you, on two, let me see you wiggle, wiggle-wiggle-wiggle". :lol2:
