No pitches thrown in bottom of third. CovCath's starter (Ben Heppler) was knocked out of game with two outs in top of second. Ruwe had pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief.

Interesting. I wonder if we might see Heppler come back in the game and pitch? Bottom line, every pitcher that pitched yesterday is available to pitch today.

Can anyone confirm if this game will resume at 5:00 or 6:00 today. I have heard both. Thanks.

Are they back at Meinken, or moved to BW? If there is a worse field in the Tri-State than Meinken I have yet to see it. Outfield is a disgrace.

I don't think that field has ever recovered from when Holmes' football team used it to practice on in the early 80's :ohbrother:

They should consider moving the game to the Kroger parking lot on Dixie. It's a more playable surface and could be considered a neutral site since it is between both schools and the concessions would be top drawer.

There is talk that they (Holmes) is wanting to purchase the field from the City so that they can maintain it themselves since they pretty much already do that. Not sure how that would work since HC also plays there or who would front the expense.
