Watching them this weekend they are a lot more talented than what their record this weekend showed, Very solid team!

I really liked Jackson. I also think they were a very well coached team.

Currently, DeOndre Jackson, Austin Schreck, Sean Ross, and Brenden Stanley have seen basketball interest from multiple colleges. Andrew Hedger is a Division 1 football recruit, currently holding 3 offers (Austin Peay, Holy Cross, Hampton). The entire team has also been invited to several college camps and campuses. And, each of the boys takes care of business in the classroom. Multiple ACT scores at or around 30, and GPA's at or around 3.5-4.0. Each of these young men have a bright future, both on and off the court. Very good group!

NKY Bulldogs won a smaller tournament in Cincinnati this weekend. Went 5-0 on the weekend.

 

Brief Highlights:

 

Cooper's John Liechty played great on Saturday afternoon posting 13 & 14 pts, going 5-7 from 3.

Cooper's John Liechty tipped in the game winner in the Championship game with 2 seconds to play. Bulldogs win by 1.

Campbell County's Dre Jackson was phenomenal, averaging 16/4/4, ame high of 23 points. Was virtually unstoppable.

Dixie Heights Austin Schreck averaged 9/5/5 for the tournament. Really sets the offense and defense for this team.

Boone County's Brenden Stanley put up 16 pts against the NKY Slam

Simon Kenton's Matt Mullins was absolutely fantastic, averaging 13/8-10rbs.

Dixie Heights Andrew Hedger averaged 8/7rebs

East Jessamine's Hayden Smith hit 9 three-pointers, and had an excellent 1-handed throw down in transition.

Pulaski's Sean Ross, Dixie's Mitch Bolin, and Scott County's Hines Jones also all played very well, all with mulitple points, rebounds, steals and a vast amount of hustle plays!

NKY Bulldog Andrew Hedger now hold 4 D1 football offers.

Went 3-0. In the gold bracket today

The Bulldogs played great this weekend. Ended 3-1 made the final 16 (of 130+ teams) in the Gold Bracket. As per usual, very much a team effort this weekend. John Liechty "bursting onto the national scene!" Had 8, 14, 15, and 17. Add 3/4 asts, 4/5rebs per game and he did very well! Everyone played well and had their games. The team traveled with 8 of its 10 plays and each man stepped up. In the loss the team was without Dre Jackson, and still played well and competed. Had chances to get another victory... just didn't bounce our way.

Kid can flat play! So underrated in NKY. He may not have the height, but he is as strong as an ox, and works great around the rim! He rebounds and finishes in multiple ways. He is also really expanding his game. Has knocked down more than several 3s this spring. Great young man!

I'm saying right now that Jackson will be the 10th Region's POY next season.

May not even be the best player on Campbell County's team. Kid needs to play under control a little more but has a big upside.
