Why didn't you have Jackson?

 

Miscommunication and some family obligations.

May not even be the best player on Campbell County's team. Kid needs to play under control a little more but has a big upside.

 

IMO, He is DEFINITELY the best player on Campbell County's team! Matt Wilson has a ton of upside, and will have his opportunities to be the "star," but Campbell will go as for as Jackson takes them. On the flip side, he'll need McGoveny, Losey, Franzen, and Wilson (of course) to do their part along the way. This team has a ton upside next season. They should contend for the 10th.

 

Side note: I dont think Jackson plays "out of control." He may play a little faster than others at times, and he may have some shifty-ness, to his game. But, he rarely plays "out of control." He knows what he is trying to do. When I think of out of control, I think of a kid who blindly drives to the basket, or who struggles to handle the ball, or a kid who lunges on defense.... He doesnt do these things.

I saw Schreck tonight for the first time in awhile... he looks like he grew

 

Schreck is a nice sized guard. 6'2-6'3, 180lbs. Played very well this past weekend.

Talking about Matt Mullins... Young man was selected for the Kentucky Governor's Scholar Program. Just keeps his head down and works! He'll succeed in life with, or without, basketball (but would still love to play at the next level).

 

He should do VERY well this HS season.

We feel we have put together a great schedule to allow our players to gain exposure, and play against some really great teams! These tournaments obtained hundreds of teams and college coaches last year. Should be an awesome July!

The Bulldogs do not have their full roster, but they have what they need to play and win with no excuses. Mullins is not with the team, as he has earned a spot to the Governors Scholar Retreat this month. Andrew Hedger was also unable to make the tournament this weekend. We will miss both of them, as they are team guys, who play really hard! Hope to have them back and ready to roll next week.

Guys got a win tonight. Played pretty well for not having been on a court together vs. competition in over a month.

 

Dre Jackson had 24, Austin Schreck had 18 (also had 6ast, I believe) and Hines Jones had 10. They were the leading scorers. All team members scored at least 4pts.

How is Mitch Bolin playing?

The white ref walking down the floor and not being ahead of the play is not a good look. I don't think he understands the concept of "lead."

How is Mitch Bolin playing?

 

He has played pretty well. Scoring 4-6 pts/game, but grabbing 7-8 boards, 2-3 blocks, and effecting the game by changing shots, running the floor well. He is playing more aggressive... Calling for the ball on the block and challenging his man on defense. Has logged a lot of minutes this week.

 

He excelled against a 6'7 & 6'9 front line. Worked hard to neutralize both players.

 

If Mitch can stay aggressive and continue to develop he could have a nice HS season.
