Best Sophomores in NKY

Of course. They promote those that attend their events. Perfect Game is no different. College coaches dont get outto many HS games, and I can assure you they pay attention to PBR and PG. Cannot stress enough the impprtance of getting out to these, as well as getting on a summer team that coaches come to see. If a kid is on a team that nobody watches, that doesnt bode well. Im a Midland homer, but there are plenty good teams that know how to get coaches to show up.

I would say the top 3 in Cincy that do that are.

1. Midland

2. Cincy Flames

3. Cincinnati Baseball Club ( They are new to the game but have been doing a very good job at the older age groups)

pretty much all those names on the 18U last summer already had a scholarship from other programs before they went to CBC so I wouldn't give them all the credit for it..

But I still have to say, in most cases, a kid has to do multiple things to get noticed.

They should be on a good summer team that promotes their players... They should hopefully get some promotion from their HS coaches... And they should participate in college camps and showcases...

I'm willing to bet most of the CBC kids did all or most of the above.

I see Kentucky Baseball Club, Ironmen Baseball Club, and CBC on there. ^

And Midland... They've been doing it forever it seems....

Oh yeah my bad. Was on my phone and could barely see the print. It does seem like they have.

And Midland... They've been doing it forever it seems....

They have a lot to offer. Indoor practice facility, free and at players beckon call anytime they want it. Minimal team fees, around $250-400. Play in the "right" tournaments, and just the name brings out the coaches. Director has almost every major college coach on speed dial, asks players for top 5 and starts the ball rolling. I can name specific examples-but won't-of players that have been offered sight unseen based on recommendation from Midland staff member. Under Armour and Marucci sposorship, older kids got free Marucci gloves this year, bats and batting gloves as well. Skins are fully comped, including travel, room, and meal money. Tough to top.

I wasn't for sure about the 2015 class, I was speaking about this past 18U team. The 18U team was pretty much put together from kids from other summer teams and most if not all of them had already committed.

The summer programs are a must for D1 talent now days, but northern KY doesn't have many. If they have even halfway of a descent hs coach they can get looks. The only reason they attend those summer games is bc they are mostly in season at the same time high school is. Once their through with the college season a good coach can get players looks without having to bankroll a summer team, especially if they play a good schedule and go deep in the post season.
