Yea its hard to be in it to win it when you know you would have to beat so many big teams, to do so.

Those are JV highlights if I read correctly????? How do Conner fans feel about moving up to 6a.

I'm sure they feel the same as Cooper fans do about the move to 6A. Really no different than 5A in this area.

NKY doesn't produce anual powerhouses in those 2 classes like they do in 4A and 1A and 2A. Now with Highlands and CCH moving to 5A that may change for 5A but not certain because they still have to beat the likes of John Hardin's and Bowling Green's of the state.

 

Conner and Cooper both played the majority of the 6A teams in NKY for years in their out of district schedules. The district they will be in will actually be easier than their 5A district because there won't be a So. Oldham in it etc. It will only be a 3 team district (which I think is just stupid but we can thank the KHSAA and their inability to do the right thing ) and unlike the district they came from, this district guarantees they make the playoffs every year. So actually it is an easier step than staying put in 5A.

From what I heard is that after he graduates, it is possible, step mom works for Toyota.

Generally two weeks after the baseball season is over. But I think he is out of town because his sister is having a baby. But I heard Kyler Padgett is there and doing pretty well.

Glad to see KP back out there competing. Conner may want to go with him at QB and use Martin's skill set elsewhere.

Rumor has it, losing some of our great players. Both Romeys and maybe the Warrick brothers. As a father of a player on the team, why let them quit now? This is their time to shine, not one person taking all the credit for everything. I think this could be a great year for Conner but these players need to stick it out.

 

How so? Drew was awesome and deserved all the accolades and praise he received. But if you watched Conner you also saw several other players contributing in a big way the past few years. Cameron Fogle, Andrew Way, and Jesse McKeehan come to mind right away and were given major kudos during their time at Conner.

I agree and he definitely has the size to be a good QB. I haven't seen him behind center but if is anything like his brother he should be a good one. Martin could be well served as RB especially if Romey's don't return.

I think Martin with his running ability would be better served as RB imo.

I look forward to checking him out regardless of where he plays. Sounds like it will be a heckuva QB battle in Hebron.

Went to Conner's 7 ON 7, They looked pretty good for a running the ball team. The passing game will get better, it's still early, a lot of passes hit the hand but did not get caught. There was a few over thrown, but that is timing. Timing is everything when throwing long passes. Jeff Martin looked good, has a little trouble with staying in the pocket. He has nice speed rolling out to take off though. Padgett looked good too. Pocket Qb, he has nice arm, throwing from the pocket. I've never seen Padget play, so I don't know how he does under pressure. As for Martin, seeing him play, great under pressure, he has quick thinking and even quicker foot work.

So Good Luck to Conner on there up coming 7 on 7's next week.Tuesday and Wednesday at Dixie at 9:30am and Friday at Highlands 9am.
