Wonder if we might start to see Meso move up the list if he keeps playing well.

I would think so if he keeps playing well. They're going to need him to be super productive to have any shot at the postseason.

It's hopeless to even try SSC...

It's almost like people thought Ludwick and Bruce had better at bats in the 4th inning b/c they struck out with two guys on. Like at least they tried to drive them in.

The people who think pitchers win/loss record is important are struggling with themselves to quantify Cueto.

Yep, he's been lights out, elite starter good, and sits there with an 0-2 record. Baseball is a funny game.

What did I say that was wrong in those post? I like Votto and have for years but he is the most frustrating player on the team.

He has 2 driven in on the season. One was himself. Yeah, huge.

Let's chastise the guy that gets on base with a runner on 2nd, and not say a word about the two guys who couldn't even put the ball in play right behind them. Yeah, that's totally logical.

Again, did you ever take a second and think (logically) about why it might be that Votto's numbers are so much better when no one is on?

Now your looking at a small sample just one game...Phillips .313 and Bruce .286 with runners on for the season. I know no one is going to come through every game, but your boy hasn't came through at all so far. Again I like Votto and hope he turns it on, but so far he has been disappointing. If you don't think he has been disappointing so far then you need to take off your Votto glasses.

As far as hitting better when no one is on versus when runners are on, well that's what he's paid to do and so far this season he hasn't done it.

10 games in and were talking about guys being disappointing. :lol2:

He's only had 4 AB's with RISP... Not a large sample size there. And if he bats second consistently he may not break 70 RBI.

He's had 11 ABs with runners on and only has 1 hit, not even worrying about RISP.

Good grief. What an idiot.

I knew as soon as it hit the grass Votto had no chance to score. Gotta be better than that.
