CCH is the favorite to win the region. Actually I'll say the winner friday is the favorite.

 

After watching both Holmes and CCH play this week. I'm still hard pressed to be convinced that Highlands would have been any better than 4th best team in the 35th district.

I agree with you on this one. The three top(and best) teams in the 9th region reside in the 35th district. It's unfortunate that HC does not get to go on to the regional.

The top 3, as first thought in the first 2 weeks of the year, are from the 35th. Highlands is good... but it will be interesting how they fare in the region with no player having a lot of regional experience.

Probably right. These teams have "big game" experience. Makes for a good region.

If anything, I think the fact that a lot of HHS' players have been playing varsity since their sophomore (or freshman) seasons is an advantage.

 

CCH has "regional experience", but it stops after the 1st round.

I take CCH winning the region. They are peaking at the right time and coming together very well. In the beginning of the season it seemed if Todd didnt have a great game, neither did CovCath. Now, while they still hope for him to play well, if he has an off night they are much more capible of making up for that. They could still use some work from the big men, but i like the way they are coming together.
