March 31, 201412 yr I have seen alot of awesome points, and most of them will probably be in my eval of next years team. I think we can assume that harrell is leaving. Altogether we lose trez,russ,hancock,SVT, hendo and kevin ware. We replace losing 6 with gaining 6 in Shaquan aaron, jaylen johnson,onuaku,snider,stockman, and mahmoud. Louisville wont be the powerhouse they have shown to be the past few years, because as you can see, they lose alot of leadership with this years senior class. Jones goal was to transfer to uofl for a year then go to the nba, but after a great start and lackluster second half he should return. I'm really excited about our recruits as well. Ive read Mahmoud had the same thing happen to him as Anthony davis. Mahmoud was a 6'6 point guard and then shot up to 7 ft. dribbles the ball well and is quick as well as the ability to knock down threes (davis could not). its very hard to tell who is gonna step up from the 6 incoming players. its never a bad thing to have two 7 footers. I think pitino will use a deep bench IMO. Using this strategy will give the cardinals the best chance to win in the tough ACC. My projected starting 5 would have to be 1. Chris Jones 2. Terry Rozier 3. Wayne Blackshear 4. Mango Mathiang 5. Anas Mahmoud 6th man: Anton Gill Role players with game time: Akoy Agau, Snider, Aaron, Stockman- Watch for Agau to fall behind if his attitude doesnt change. Will Snider challenge for playing time? Don't know much about these other guys, maybe Pitino will have time to add a juco or two. Is there any big names that haven't signed yet that UL would be interested in or transfers maybe?
March 31, 201412 yr You and me both along with many others. Just goes to show you can have all the talent/potential in the world but if you don't work hard it won't matter.
April 1, 201412 yr Me too. I think he's going to take one more real shot with Rozier playing the role of Siva and building a team around him and the solid class coming in. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him depart after this group has gone through. UofL has pitino under contract through 2017. i think he will stay until that time and then retire.

I just don't see it with bringing in 6 recruits plus bringing back 6. i believe you get 12 or 13 scholarships though. long off season ahead, I would hope they just focus on developing their players and getting them ready for the acc as well as building some chemistry.

April 1, 201412 yr If Trezel leaves UL is rebuilding. It is unlikely that he stays, but he is in a similar situation as Dieng. Dieng was a defensive force his sophmore year and he could score close to the basket but relied heavily on one move. he stayed his junior year and developed a mid range jumper and a variety of post moves especially scoring with his opposite hand. Trez is in the same boat and not as good defensively. Harrell's athleticsm may push him into the draft but he could stay to develop more of his game and improve his draft stock for next year.
