Corey Holbrook and Dre Jackson were pretty good tonight. Brossart couldn't keep either of them in front. Holbrook got off to a very nice start,then the camels went down 10. Holbrook and Jackson got them back in the game. Wilson battled against 2 of the better big men in the region. Burns tried playing bully ball with Wilson early and it appeared to be working, but Campbell adjusted and remedied the situation. I thought brossart should have made a more of an effort to get Trentman the ball, he was playing with passion.

 

Unsung hero of the game for the camels was Blake Losey. Young man hit some key shots at key moments and really kept the spirit alive. Congrats to him!

Whoever posted that Russell is in charge of a sinking ship in an earlier post should be eating crow. Camels played great tonight. Holbrook played a terrific game. Losey was big tonight. Good luck to both teams. Would not be surprised if the Camels and Mustangs make it to the regional finals. Great district!

Blake knocked down some big shots, played in your shorts defense. Strong player, he elevates well. Definitely an unsung hero for the Camels, not only in this game, the whole season. Atta Boy Blake

Sounds like a very hard fought game by 2 very good teams. I thought Brossart would get the W. But I'm not that surprised as I have always thought that the Camels have a very good team.

Physical game in the paint, touchy on the top….great game with lots of hustle on both sides. Good on CCHS. CCHS fans rush floor at end of game and one of the officials gets caught up in the wash and poked in head or eye….got to plan your exit always

We played hard. No lack of effort, or overblown confidence.

We were beat by a team who played a better game tonight.

Agree that Brossart was not overconfident. They just did not show up ready to focus and compete for 32 minutes. Dumb fouls, flat footed defending the 3 and not protecting the ball led to our demise. This is a game you go out and win if you feel you have the team to grab the opportunity to win the Region. This was not on the coaches. We have to play smarter next week. Good news is that this team can bounce back quickly with Alex and Drew leading the way. IMO this team can play with anybody in the region.

 

Set the alarm clock along with the wake up call, we've got Montgomery out of the chute.

Great win for Campbell. Really think Brossart is the second best team in the 10th. They will just have to go a different route now. Be very interesting if MoCo draws Brossart in the first round.
