2014 Scouting Combine

If you take a QB #1, you are HOPING he makes a positive transition from the college game to the NFL game, and you are HOPING he's got the tools to be successful in the league.

That's a lot of HOPE for the #1 overall.

No question. However, QB is THE most important position and I can get a strong read on "tools."

If the Texans judge a QB like Teddy to be worthy of being considered for the #1 overall selection then to me it's an easy call. You take the QB without any maturity/work ethic issues.

I think Houston would be better suited to take the freak talent in Clowney, and trade a 2nd rounder for the likes of Cousins, or draft a QB such as Carr, or Fales, or even a McCarron or Murray in a later round.

I know this won't be popular, but I don't like Bridgewater at that level.

I agree with this.

I won't argue that. It's why I stipulated "IF " the Texans feel he's worthy.

While I'm certainly not a talent evaluator I lean towards your thinking.

I think the best QB in this draft will turn out to be Aaron Murray, so I would pass on the sexy names.

AJ McCarron IMO.

Also think Carr from Fresno State will be the best of the group drafted in the 1st or 2nd round.

I don't like McCarron either.

Blake Bortles long term.

I agree. And as bad as I hate to say it, Johnny M. I just have a feeling. I hope I'm wrong, because I'm not a fan.

My thoughts exactly!

J.J. Watt might be a great motivator for a guy like Jadaveon Clowney. I can't imagine those two on the same defensive line.

I am a HUGE Aaron Murray guy. I love his actual character as well. I'm hoping my Jaguars take Clowney early and take Murray at a later time.
