Newcath is the clear favorite in the 9th region right now.

 

As good as Covcath is playing, Newcath is playing that much better. To beat Holmes without a starter was a statement. Covcath is still a contender, as is Holmes but it will take a very good game by both to knock off the Breds come region tourney time.

I don't know much about the 1st, 3rd, and 8th, but overall, I agree with the rest. I might tweak the 10th with Mason County/Bishop Brossart (according to the Brossart injury situation), but I think Montgomery County is one of the more solid favorites out there right now.

Nobody in the 12th is beating Wayne.

 

I'm not ready to succumb to that belief. The Lincoln County team they beat earlier this season isn't the same Lincoln team and it always seems like the favorite in the 12th falters. They are a heavy favorite but don't write it in ink yet.

Almost nothing in the 12th Region surprises me anymore.

While i believe MoCo is the clear cut favorite in the 10th i feel Mason Co. could give them a run. If the point guard for Brossart is healthy and playing then Brossart is my dark horse sleeper in the 10th. I wouldnt be suprised if any of these three made it to Rupp. MoCo gets all the love but its still a 2 or three team race. IMO.. I feel that Mason dosent get as much attention as they deserve. And Brossart gets no love.. at least since their point guard went down with the wrist injury.

Hard to agree with Trinity as the favorite in the Seventh. Trinity is a tremendous team and has a shot, but I think Ballard must be considered the favorite.

 

Ballard is the favorite in the 7th. They played Trinity with out a starter in KOB and won. He should be coming back if not already.

 

PRP/Doss in the 6th even though PRP lost first game of season to Doss I would give them (PRP) slight edge.

I would have agreed 2 weeks ago. Not anymore. I think cooper made a statement that they can't be overlooked.

 

There are only really 4 teams that have a legit chance to win the 9th region and Cooper isn't close to any of the 4. Sorry, but Cooper had their chance last year and couldn't get it done.
